Marie beamed as she looked out at the horizon. Sitting at the straw built bar on the beach where her bestfriend supplied her with "complimentary" drinks was where Marie felt she belonged.
Since her breakup with August, she began to take more pride in herself. She worked more on her body and her overall look. She was proud of herself and anybody could tell the way she flaunted her body in the bright colored bikini that hugged her in all the perfect places.
"Girl, I'm so proud of you! You out here glowing and shit." Marie's best friend, Ariane, exclaimed.
"I'm proud of myself." Marie sighed."I feel like I met myself that day I walked out."
"So," Ariane dragged. "You gone start dating again?"
Marie rolled her eyes," I love myself more than any man could."
"You going to be single for life then?"
"I ain't say all that, but I will be single for a long time. I've been tied down to one man since high school. I've honestly got some catching up to do." Marie bit her lip. She was excited for all the things to come.
"Well, girl, do what you gotta do to catch up. You deserve it." Ariane refilled Marie's cup again.
"Oh, boo, I know I do and I'm excited to do whatever I want to whomever I want."
