Mini Story| Ch. 1
***
Camille didn't claim to be lovable.
She never wanted it nor desired the feeling of someone loving her. She wouldn't know if someone did anyway because she'd never felt love.

She'd read books and saw movies where they detailed love as a small kick while kissing your boyfriend, a peck on the cheek on the doorstep, butterflies in your stomach, etc. Yet, she'd never felt it. She never experienced that awkward hand touch on a first date. Sure, she fantasized about all those things, but she'd never really lived through them.

If asked, Camille couldn't even tell you if she'd ever loved anyone. There had never been anyway in her life that deserved love or respect, so those kinds of things did not live in her household. Betrayal, lies, and substance abuse took the place of those things.

Taking all of this in account, you could understand why Camille was so attached Chris.

Everything about Chris excited Camille. There was always some new way he could make her feel. Camille gave her all to him in hopes of fulfilling all those fantasies she'd had and feeling everything she could. Every second with Chris felt like a piece of the puzzle was set into place. She wanted so badly to finish that puzzle.

Chris was not aware of how strong Camille felt for him. Not only did this miscommunication ruin them, it ruined her. The saddest part? She didn't even realize. Camille was so used to falling apart that she didn't realize it when she slowly began to crumble.

Those puzzle pieces weren't completing her heart. They were ripping away any sense of how she knew she was supposed to be treated and replacing it with unrequited love.

It wasn't until Camille caught him in the act that she moves towards the realization that something wasn't right. When she finally reached that point, she made a vow to herself.

Camille looked into the mirror at her blotchy skin and puffy eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed as she prepared herself to speak.

"I will never love another man again." She vowed.
