Chapter 41

Niall POV

Waking up this morning my head was splitting in two, as if someone was cutting it straight down the middle with an axe. Rolling over, my stomach turned, and I felt like I was going to throw up. Placing my head over what I assume was a bucket, that I used in the past few hours, or at least I hoped that it was a bucket, a hand rubbed the top of my back making me jump. Looking up I blinked waited for the room to stop spinning. It took forever, but when it finally did I took in the figure, and a heap of blonde hair. Rubbing my back the girl says, “Take it easy.”

Looking up at the girl I rubbed my eyes and said, “Princess?”

The girl brushed my cheek as she says, “I’m here.”

So I’ve gotten to the point that I’m dreaming Mel is here? Talk about pathetic. I thought as Mel hands me a cup of water and 2 pills, “Take these, it’ll help with the headache.”

Slowly sitting up I grabbed the cup and tossed the pills back. Handing the cup back to Mel I looked at her as she stood walking to my dresser; she was wearing nothing but a tank top and shorts. Damn she looks good I thought as Mel pulls her blonde hair out of a ponytail, letting it fall to the middle of her back. Turning around Mel looks at me as I said, “Are you really here, or am I just dreaming?”

Mel smiled, “I’m really here.”

Picking up that ugly coffee cup I bought, Mel brought it to her lips and took a drink. I sat there for a moment taking her in. 5’5 figure, slim but she had hips, breast a perfect size not too big, not to small, her olive toned skinned was perfect. She wore no make-up and I thought she looked more beautiful like that. The faint shadow of pink covered her cheeks making me smile since I adored the way the shot to Red covered her cheeks whenever she was excited. Meeting Mel’s eyes she smiled as she says, “What?”

Shaking my head I said, “Nothing. I’m just confused on why you’re here?”

Sitting down her cup she leans against the dresser, “You don’t remember?”

“Remember what?”

Crossing her arms she says, “That’s right you were trashed. To make a long story short, I found you at the condo trashed, and Max and Harry bought you here.”

Nodding I said, “Okay, but why are you here?”

Looking at the ground she says, “Harry told me that something happened and you thought someone was after you. When we got you here it was like you were dead to the world so I didn’t feel right leaving you here by yourself when you felt like that.” Looking up at me she smiled, “You wouldn’t do that to me so I wasn’t going to do that to you.”

My heart skipped a beat which shocked me, despite all the things I’ve done in the past week here stood Mel as if nothing happened. “You stayed all night?” I asked as Mel yawns. Nodding her head I asked, “So does that mean you’re not mad?” I asked.

“Mad about what? Krista?” Mel shook her head, “No like I said last night I’m over it.” Turning around Mel grabs a towel and tosses it to me as she says, “I think you need a shower. You reek of vomit and Jack.”

Turning back around Mel grabs her cup of coffee and started to head for the door. “You’re not leaving right now, are you?”

Mel smiles shaking her head, “Not now, in a little bit though.” Closing my door Mel walks out. Smiling I rose from the bed and went to shower.

After showering last night’s liquor off of me I pulled on a pair of joggers and walked out the room a towel over my head. Stepping out of the hallway I was hit with a strong smell of bacon. As I rounded the corner to the kitchen there stood Mel cleaning plates at the sink. Looking up Mel pushes a plate across the counter as she says, “Here eat.”
