[Chapter Size: 2300 Words.]
Third Person POV.
Braavos....
...
It was night when Jon and Daenerys were approaching the Sea Lord's mansion, very well dressed while the place had voices and music in the main area, on the third floor of the mansion.
Earlier, they had returned to the luxury inn after the boat ride, where they were sought out by guards, a few minutes after they had arrived, with a letter from the Sea Lord inviting them to a social gathering between him, the keyholders, and many nobles of Braavos, stating that the meeting would be important to strengthen ties and even seek an alliance, as many were interested in meeting the two Targaryens who were contesting the Iron Throne, while they had not yet even gone to war against the four kings happening. The news of Jon presenting himself as Daemon Targaryen, alongside Daenerys Targaryen, spread like wildfire throughout the city. Quickly, people began seeking information. The unexpected banquet was not much of a surprise, and Jon already expected something like that.
Jon had also sought out a tailor, offering some gold coins for a guard to fetch him at the same moment they were sought, and demanding that the craftsman go to the inn where they were staying.
The man, declaring himself as one of the leading tailors of Braavos, was at the disposal of the powerful Targaryen family, while Jon asked him to adjust a suitable dress for Daenerys. A few minutes later, he had made the adjustments. Jon also put on appropriate clothing with the help of the tailor, and after handing over the gold coins, he advanced to the banquet, as a companion to Daenerys Targaryen, who looked stunning.
Unlike the first reception, the guards, already aware of the incident with the sorcerer, did not hesitate to let him pass upon recognizing him immediately, besides escorting him as a VIP guest to the mansion, where he was quickly announced loudly by the man at the entrance of the event, attracting everyone's attention, with the Sea Lord himself making a point of greeting them personally as guests of honor.
"Welcome. I hope you feel more at ease with Braavos' reception, better than earlier this morning." the Sea Lord said, keeping a much more polite tone than he had with Jon and Daenerys.
"Thank you, sir." Daenerys greeted, while Jon merely nodded.
"Now, come. Let me introduce you. There are many people who want to meet you." he said, beginning to lead them to the most important guests.
"I hate politics." Jon muttered, seeing how people looked at them.
"I can't imagine why... You usually just go around terrifying everyone, it seems much simpler." Daenerys joked and laughed at the comment.
Jon said nothing, but he couldn't agree more, as they were introduced to the first family, which was none other than the bankers themselves. They looked hesitant but spoke quickly with feigned enthusiasm, even with the hesitation and fear at least what Jon could perceive.
"They are afraid of you." Even Daenerys could recognize and murmured as she moved away from the first people who spoke with Jon.
"I can't imagine why." Jon said with a mischievous smile, drawing a laugh from Daenerys as well.
This continued for a while, as Jon had conversations among all there, with the Sea Lord introducing him to the guests.
"Learn from this." Jon said to Daenerys, as he watched the nobles greet and flatter them, but always keeping a cautious eye on Jon, who displayed a small friendly smile.
"This isn't the kind of banquet I usually enjoy, but people of our standing must follow these standards." Jon commented, while Daenerys already felt and learned from his words.
