"Jon, the children of the forest want to speak with you..." Ygritte entered the tent at that moment while Jon raised an eyebrow, still looking at the map of the North.

"Tell them I'm quite busy today, I plan to see them tomorrow." Jon said, wanting to do something else that day.

"Alright, I'll let them know." Ygritte said, leaving the tent, while Jon returned to the map for a while longer.

After analyzing the map, Jon went to the bed, sitting on it, asking not to be disturbed at that moment.

His eyes turned white. He quickly began to see all the animals he had sent south, wanting one in each region, wanting to see how the North was as a whole. Even though the birds had only reached the middle of the North, still needing to see the south to have a complete picture, it was enough for him.

It was already night by then, as he sat at the table and quickly had a quill with ink in his hand, beginning to write. Much of what he had spoken with his Stark cousins, he finally needed to communicate to the entire North—something he hadn't done until that moment.

He was finally going to act once and for all, but, of course, he would leave a striking message for what was about to happen.

Lucis ended up sitting beside him, looking on curiously, not quite understanding the words Jon was quickly writing.

"Do you intend to write that many letters?" Lucis asked, surprised by the stack of paper beside Jon as he was already on the fifth one.

"These letters will be sent to all of the North," Jon explained, still writing quickly. After all, there were dozens of houses, both the major and the minor, to receive the message.

He had to make it very clear why he was doing this. Even with all the power he possessed, he still needed to justify his actions before the nobles of the realms, revealing his true intentions.

This would help him not be seen as a second mad king, even though, in some ways, that was already happening. But he needed to do this, especially for his family and his children and their children.

Either way, whether they accepted his justifications or not mattered little in the end. But still, he would do it.

He continued writing throughout the entire night. Afterwards, he returned to his bed and slept with his women. When he awoke in the morning, he finished the last letters, letting out a sigh as he saw the final one. Gently, he filled the parchment with ink and began to write like all the others before:

[Dear lords of all the North,

I am here to announce my next action. After all, when you hear the news, you will clearly be shocked, but first...

This is the first time I truly speak to the entire North.

My name is Daemon Targaryen, trueborn son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna of House Stark by marriage, and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. I can prove my claim through a certificate and a journal written by the High Septon of the time, when my father and mother were wed, and this shall be proven before your eyes when the time comes.

In any case, you must already know that we crossed the Wall with 180,000 free folk after it was defeated for the first time in millennia. I am working here to establish a place for them in the Present.
