I awoke with a jolt, the voices screaming so loudly I could barely hear my heartbeat.

I try to ignore the voices as I get a cup of water, but they seem to just get louder and louder.

I grunt and take a sip of water before setting the cup down and walking towards the ladder. I quickly go to the runt's-

(Y/N)'s room.

"(Y/N) isn't a runt..." I mutter to myself as I make it to her room. I open her door and- crying. "(Y/N's) crying," I thought as I saw her sitting on her bed, crying.

"Why am I crying? I barely even know him... Why does he feel so important?" I thought, a moment later, the door opened, and when I looked up, "Techno?" I asked, internally wincing at how meek my voice sounded.

He stood there for a moment, not moving. It seemed as though he was thinking about something, but as to what, I had no clue. I could never read people well.

After a moment, he walked over and sat next to me. "Why are you crying?" He asked, his voice as monotone as always. I think for a minute, before looking down at the ground. ".. I don't even know..." I said honestly, because I didn't. I sniffled and wiped my eyes. "I'm sorry- I-I saw him again..." "In the weird dream place you had?" He asks, and I nod. "He left after I said I was with you..." Techno seemed to tense when I said that.

"What?" He said.

I nod. "Y-Yeah- it was weird..."

Techno went quiet again. "Are the voices talking to him?" I thought and hesitantly grabbed his shoulder, and immediately, I could hear them.

"KILL... KILL... KILL... KI-"

Techno immediately pulled away and stood up. "You go back to sleep." I tensed at how harsh his voice sounded in that moment. "I-I'm sorry-" I tried to apologize, but he walked out before I could finish.
