"Hey, I didn't think that you'd show up." Allison smiles at me."Yeah, yeah, you had luck on your side," I say, still a bit displeased with myself.
Earlier, the little voice in my head had persuaded me into meeting up with Allison. It told me that if it can't benefit, then it also cannot harm.
Besides, I need to be a little more civil since she is my labby now. Even though we aren't friends, it doesn't hurt to be polite.
"Aren't you a ray of sunshine," Allison says while laughing at my now embarrassing face.
"The tighest you'll ever see." I slightly shake my head and look over Allison's shoulder, making her turn as well.
"Where's this guy we were supposed to meet?""Guy? Oh yeah, Ethan's in the Music and Theatre clubroom. Come on." She pulls at my arm and starts to walk off.
You don't need to hold my arm...
She stops for a moment, almost making me crash into her and says,
"Oh and Lindsey, don't mind if he says something weird."Oh, lovely...
Instead of answeing her, I give a swift nod and continue walking towards the club. Allison soon catches up, in fact exceeds me.
Soon afterwards, we arrive at the musi club's door.
"He's got to be here." She clicks her tongue at the corner like a certain fictional character and swings open the club door. I look around with my thumbs in my blazer's pockets while Allison seeks out the boy. The club is filled with different types of instruments, some are for decorating the walls, while some functional on the floor. A lot of students have either instruments or scripts in their hands.
I kind of like this room...
"Ethan, where are you!"
"Shush Als, this isn't a ten mile long room!"
I look at the owner of that voice and see a bespectacled boy with auburn hair, talking to a maybe a friend. A guitar is slinked across him. The sleeves of his blazer are wrapped around his waist like a belt, while his white school shirt is rolled up to his elbows. If we were in a classroom, then he'd probably wouldn't be able to do that.
Isn't he in English class with me?
He turns to look at us. My eyes meet his brown ones for a moment before he turns away, whispering something to his companion, making the latter nod and walk away.
The boy takes the strap binding him and puts the guitar on the floor. He turns to Allison. "Who's the brunette?"
"Same here, gingerbread." I raise a brow.
"Um... let's start again. Ethan, this is Lindsey, my new friend. Lindsey, this is Ethan, my old friend. Ethan, Lindsey and Lindsey, Ethan.
I only agreed on being civil, not friends.
"Hi, my name's Ethan Ingram (which is quite redundant). Sorry about before."
At least, he apologised.
Instead, I shrug. "This isn't a rom-com. You don't need to apologise."
Allison giggles, while he actually smiles at me.
"Heh. Hey Ethan, can you help me and Lindsey?"
"Why?" He raises a brow.
"You said you owe me. Remember?"
"Oh, that..." He sighs heavily. "Is it anything concerning you, Lindsey? Allison doesn't usually team up with anyone."
"You can say that."
"Okay, Brunette." He smiles at me.
"Um... can I give you the details now?" Allison says while Ethan nods.
Allison starts telling him all that has happened.
"Hm... this seems harder than what you helped me with. I think we'll have to investigate at Lindsey's house."
"So, it's decided we'll come over."
I do want to know about the journal in more detail. Nothing has bothered me for a whole day, other than my brother.
"Okay, what harm could it be?"
"Then, can we come today?"
No. No! I've had enough excitement for one day.
"Today isn't good. Why not the weekend?"
"Sure."
"I don't have plans either."
"Then it is settled, we'll come on Saturday morning." Allison claps her hands together.
"Sure, it's not like I have plans or anything," I say sarcastically.
"Great!" Allison jumps in her seat.
"I'm sorry, Lindsey. Allison is always this much elated." Ethan says apologetically, looking at my baffled face. Meanwhile, Allison pouts.
I let out a chuckle. "Okay, but now I have to go home and do my home work."
"Goodbye, Lindsey!"
Allison says as I stand up to leave.
I look back amusingly and Ethan glaring at her while she is blissfully ignoring him. It looks like Allison is about to get scolded.
I sigh heavily,
What a day!That's all Folks!
Avoid weird typos.
Love,
MS Zame
