"Henry Fitzwilliam Knightley, pleased to meet you."
"Dylan Nathaniel Knightley..."
Dylan takes out an arm that was crossed against his chest and shakes Henry's outstretched hand."Sorry, how can you see us? Nobody else can." Ethan asks from beside me.
He positively looks like my brother. Same jaw line. Exact physique. Heck, they're both wearing suits. The height is same which I think is six foot and three inches. Same chocolate brown hair(which I absolutely envied to my dark brown hair when I was younger) with a pair of two serene emerald green eyes.
The same eyes that my dad had, and also Dylan. The resemblence is so alike that Henry and Dylan look like long lost twins.
"Questions so soon. Show some Knightley civilty, Lindsey. Like your brother. I am your ancestor," Henry says as he sits on the sofa next to him. Legs crossed and looking at us all.
"But what relation exactly do you have with me and my brother. You didn't have any children, nor did your sister, I think..."
"Your assumption is quite true but that will only be clarified in time. But our relation is not the main concern right now. Probably, you all are wondering why we have gathered here."
"I thought that he'd use words like thee or thy or whatever," Ethan whispers into Allison's ear. I was also able to hear because they are both standing right next to me. I wonder if Henry heard them.
"I am a nineteenth century gentleman, Mr Ingram. Not a medieval playwright," Henry replies Ethan nonchalantly as he tells us the exact era we are in.
Ethan nods vigorously.
"Can somebody tell me what's going on?" Dylan asks us with confusion plastered on his face.
"We'll tell you later," I say, cutting Dylan off before talking to Henry,"Why are we here?"
"To solve the mystery of my journal. That diary that Mr Ingram is holding is the exact same one you have in your satchel, Lindsey. That book is my journal."
"How is this all even happening?" Allison asks suddenly getting our attention towards her. Actually, this is the first time she has spoken since we have been in this study.
"A spell. Now, do not interrupt, Ms Crimsom," Henry answers giving a slight motion of his hand.
How does he know everyone's surnames?
Henry continues,
"Each time when you will trigger a memory relating to your past and also to the family poem which I have given you, you will see glimpses of the past. You will come back to Edenfield of 1890 to solve this riddle. When you will have all fifty pages back in the journal, you will be able to solve this mystery. What you are seeing now is the summary of the first ten pages. The first memory, which is when Lindsey went to the cemetery, gave you all the first ten pages. The second and third memories will give to the next ten. However, the fourth memory will give only nine, while the fifth one."The past that caused all this trouble. Unfortunately, that past is related to me."
"A spell! But who cast the spell?" Ethan says with an absolute baffled expression on his face. His auburn hair slightly falling on his forehead.
"That is for you all to investigate. I can only provide you with hints."
"But why the cemetery? Why were those pages given to me there? I have other memories, too," I ask Henry.
"The cemetery is where all your troubles started. It is where your loved ones are. Now, I can not answer any more questions."
"But..."
