Waking up with a bright smile on my face, I ran to the bathroom, grabbing my towel on the way. Realizing my sister was just about enter the bathroom, I ran faster, pushed her out of the way and slammed the door in her face. "Aliyah!"
I opened the door, an innocent look on my face. "Yes, darling sister?"
She eyed me, a weirded out look in her face. "Are you okay? You look weird."
My face dropped in a droll-expression. My eyes narrowed, before the bright smile overcame my face, "I have a boyfriend!"
She beamed, looking happy for me. "That's great! Maybe we can have double dates and -"
I slammed the door in her face again. "I don't think so."
"Aliyah! I have to shower!"
"Yeah-huh," I nodded, and pursed my lips at the reflection in the bathroom mirror after I've brushed my teeth. "Yeah, you can do that after me." She continued to argue behind the closed door, so I decided to turn on the water. "Sorry, sis, but I can't hear you over the loud water," I shouted, "we'll continue this conversation like - never? Okay, bye now!"
Stepping inside the shower, I drowned out the noise of her pounding on the door for a couple of minutes. I'm pretty sure nothing was going to be able ruin my mood today.
It was the day we returned back to school and Zach's and I's first day back to school as a couple. I smiled through the soapy water, not even caring some was getting into my mouth. I was on high - the reality - of being Zach's girlfriend felt surreal. I just hope Courtney doesn't ruin this for us, I frowned.
The threat she made felt transparent, but a little bit of visibility to it. Like, she will get back at us as she promised but doesn't know how as of yet. I hope she doesn't find a way how, especially by breaking the recent, vulnerable relationship Zach and I established.
My quick shower turned into a twenty minute shower and my sister was back at the door, pounding away. I shut off the water, groaning, "Okay, I'm getting out!" I grabbed the towel, drying myself off before wrapping it around me. I had opened the door so suddenly that she ended up knocking on my chin. I frowned, moving out the way and into my room.
My outfit was simple - black skinny jeans, light blue long sleeved shirt, brown timberlands, and a fitted jacket. The jewellery Zach gave me were still on - I've never taken them off. I smiled, fiddling with the necklace, it's diamond heart sitting in the middle of my chest.
Grabbing my book bag and making sure all the assignments were in there, I ran downstairs while reading a message from Zach. Morning, girlfriend.
I smiled, Good morning, boyfriend.
I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket on the table and decided to have it for breakfast. I'll be over in ten minutes. See you then.
Tossing the apple core into the trash, I made sure the phone was on vibrate after the last message so I didn't get in trouble in school if it went off and went to wait outside.
My eyebrows furrowed and I uncomfortably shifted on my feet at the feeling of being watched. Tugging my jackets and crossing my arms across my chest, I looked around to see if there was by any chance someone looking at me. There was a car parked diagonally from me, but it's been there for a week. At the sound of a car approaching my house, I turned to look, and to my relief, it was Zach's car. My eyes returned to the other car to see that it was gone.
