I sniffed, sitting against the bathtub, staring at the toilet.
It was around ten on the morning of Zach's birthday and I needed to make him his breakfast before he wakes up. Sighing, I used the tub to help me stand up and flushed the toilet again. Quietly closing the bathroom door behind me, I walked in the ensuit bedroom where Zach laid, still asleep. I stood next to the bed, admiring his naked torso - his defined stomach still as prominent as ever.
I took a deep breath and walked out the room and into the kitchen, swallowing down the urge to go back to the bathroom again. I made Zach his favorite breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes, cheese omelet and bacon. It took me a few minutes before I took out the strips and put it on the frying pan- the smell of meat making my stomach churn.
The breakfast took me less than half an hour to make, and before i knew it, I was greeted with a kiss on my shoulder as I turned to a cabinet to get a plate. I jumped a little, startled, "Zach!"
I felt the vibrations from his chest as he chuckled, hugging me from behind. He kissed my neck, "Morning."
I smiled, turning around to wrap my arm around his neck, plate still in hand. I kissed him, "Morning." I gave him one more peck, "And Happy Birthday."
He tightened his grip on my waist, kissing me more passionately before I could pull away. One of his finger went under the hem on of the his shirt I was wearing and rubbed in a circular motion on my thigh, igniting a small moan.
He slowly pulled away, resting our foreheads together. "I love you, Aliyah Davis. You're the best birthday present ever."
I smiled at the last name. "I love you too, Zachary Davis." I pulled away, "now let's eat."
I walked out the doctor's office and into the car, just sitting there, thinking. I laid my hand on my stomach, unconsciously rubbing circles on it with my thumb. I inhaled loudly before turning on the ignition and starting the car, going shopping for Zach's second present.
I got home about an hour later, glad to see Zach back after seeing his family. He walked over to me, immediately engulfing my lips with his. The kiss lasted a couple of seconds before he pulled away. "I missed you."
I love how we're still in the honeymoon phase after five years.
I laughed lightly, "Sorry, I had a few errands to run, " I said, motioning to the bag in my hand. When Zach made the move to grab it, I held it beating my back, shaking my head playful, "I want it to be surprise." I pecked his pouted lips, "you'll see tonight." At that, his eyes started to noticeably darken. I bit my lip went into the room to drop the already wrapped box.
I walked out to see that Zach turn on the TV. "Watch a movie with me?"
I smiled at how adorable he sounded, nodding. "Anything you want, birthday boy." I went to sit next to him on the comfy sofa, his arm around me, pulling me into his side. I laid my head on his shoulder, not wanting to let the nervousness of revealing the present to him tonight, show.
"Anything I want, huh?" Zach smiled, kissing my neck. I laughed, giving him a slight push away from me, and kissed him fully.
A couple of hours later, I was driving us to Prospect Park, our special park. Parking the car as close as we could, I grabbed Zach's hand and led him to a secluded area, where I had set up dinner. There was a large blanket on the floor and on it were bowels containing food, varying from breakfast food to snacks, to fruits, to deserts.
