I huffed, trying my hardest not to scream. Ugh!
Currently, I'm in the middle of the of an empty hallway - lost. I can't believe Zach screwed me over - again! Zach was supposed to show to my last class today and now, here I am stranded in the middle of school's corridor, about 15 minutes late to class.
I let out a low growl and made my towards the main office, a place I'm very familiar with. Wow, I sound like a bad ass.
I opened the door and stepped inside. Mrs Snider (The adult that first gave me my schedule.) looked up when she heard the door closing and rose an eyebrow. I smiled sheepishly and nodded. She rememeberd from the situation from the first day. She smiled and shook her head.
"Just take a seat and start any homework you have, Aliyah. Class's is about to finish in twenty minutes, anyway."
"Thanks." I took one of the seats by the door and plopped down with a sigh. I took out my algebra homework sheet: 5(-3x -2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13. I huffed, I hate math.
_=_
The bell rang three minutes after I finished the algebra sheet. I may hate math but it is my best subject after English. Standing up, I called over my shoulder, "Bye, Mrs. Snider!" I saw her nod as I went out the door, the office door closing slowly behind me.
I quckly mixed in with the swarm of high schoolers and went out the front door. I stood at the corner of the gate, not wanting anyone to step on me as they walk down the steps. I saw Zach on the top of the stairs, overlooking the sea of students in front of the school. I pushed myself farther into the black gate before jumping foward again. I let out a yelp and glared at it. It's freaking hot! I checked my legs and arms to see if I had any 3rd degree burns. Coast is clear. Turning around, I let out another yelp.
A couple inches in front of my personal bubble stood Zach, hands stuffed inside his pockets with a smirk plastered on his face. I narrowed my eyes at him and placed my hand on his stomach, I can feel the glorious abs - I can feel them beneath my fingertips!, and gave him a quick push.
His smile faltered and he sighed, running his hand through his already-beautifully-messed-up dark brown hair. "Look, Aliyah -"
"Ah!" I raised my hand, stopping him from continuing speaking. I waddled my finger in mock dissapointment. I had already forgiven him. "I am very dissapointed in you, Zachary Davis." I tsked, shaking my head, "Very dissapointed. To think after yesterday, you would change your ways," I turned my back towards him and crossed my arms, sighing deeply, "I guess I was wrong."
He let out an airy laugh, before turning me around slowly. "How can I make up to you?'"
I ran my tongue over my teeth, thinking. I'm really in the mood for sweets. I tilted my head to the side, my ponytail swinging. "Ice Cream?"
"Now?"
I shook my head. I still wanted to check out that dancing studio. "I'm going to be at this dancing studio somewhere near here, so meet me there in fifteen minutes or we can meet here?"
"I know where it is," he nodded. "I'll meet you there."
At that moment, a car honked. I looked over, Dad. I looked over to Zach and smiled, "See you there."
I made my towards my dad's car and got in. "Hey, dad, can you stop by that dancing studio we passed by yesterday?"
*^*
I stood in front of the dance studio my father dropped me off at. It was a small brick building with a black, the words Move written in white with a figure of a person dancing next to it. I walked closer to the entrance and pushed the heavy glass door, holding the black bar.
The inside of the studio was the same as any studio, the wall with a giant mirror in front of it. The only other thing there were loud speakers, hanging in the corners of the back wall. The walls were a dark, beautiful red. There were other dancers there, dancing to Bubblegum by Jason Derulo. (A/N: Dance in the side --->>>)
"May I help you?" I tuned to see a man with a tan skin color, shirtless (Abs...) wearing baggy black sweatpants. He had dark hair matted to his sweaty forehead and brown eyes.
"Uh, yeah. I was wondering if I can sign for dance classes here."
He looked at me up and down and I started to fidget. I just wish people would stop judging me like that. Finally, he looked at me and nodded. "Yeah, follow me."
I followed him to a little mini office that you would have to go through a door to get into. "Here," he handed me a paper about rules and polices and stuff - basically a contract. I would have to pay $20 a month to stay. I skimmed through the contract and shrugged, nothing I can't agree to. He gave me a pen and I signed my signature. When I was done, I grabbed a twenty from wallet and handed it to him.
He held up to the light to see if it was real, which was, before smiling at me. "Do you want to start now, or tomorrow? Hip-hop danc eclasses are on Tuesdays and Fridays."
I said that I was going to meet with Zach. "Tomorrow," I answered. He nodded and escorted me out of his office. "Practice starts at 3:30!"
Zach was just getting out of his sleek black car. He wore the same outfit as before, sporting a snapback. I smiled at him walking further towards him. He lifted his head, making me autimatically frown at his split lip.
"Oh, my gosh!" I reached up, my thumb going over his bottom lip. It feels so soft.. I looked up at him, my thumb still on his lip, "Are you okay?"
He chuckled, removing my hand from his lip, holding my wrist. "Im fine, Aliyah. It's not the first one I got before."
"Are you sure? We can always do this some other time."
"A split lip is not going stop me from taking you out for ice cream."
I nodded and smiled, "Let's go then."
He led me to the his car and opened the door for me. I laughed and got in. He went around and aslo in went, starting up the engine. "Where are we going?" I asked, watching him as he drive. Hmm, that split lip kind of makes him look hot.
He looked over at me and grinned, "There's this amazing ice cream parlor in Queens called Scoops. You'll love it there."
^*^
