Veta and Darby were too distracted by the boys to notice my instant heartbreak. Even though Veta had a boyfriend it didn't stop her from chatting it up with a bunch of guys. As long as they didn't have sex she didn't find a problem with anything she did with a guy. I walked past everyone and went back into Simon's room.
Thankfully someone had noticed my existence because my own husband was too caught up with a girl to care about me. My lookout popped his head in the door and walked over and joined me on the bed. As it had always been, it was Freezy. "Oi, what's the wifey doing leaving the party?"
"Might want to ask the husband what he's doing with his ex." I looked up at Cal. "Nice thing for a marriage celebration party right?" Cal pulled me in for a hug. But he didn't say anything. "Why are you in here? Why are you the one always looking out for me?"
"I maybe a crazy drunk, and I may sleep around. Scratch that I might be crazy in general but I will always share something special with you. I'll always look out for you. It's the job you gave me to do when you and Simon had issues. I was given the job to look out for Rosie. Somethings just never change." There was a knock at the door followed by a wild Behzy entering the room.
"There you are!" He reached for me and pulled me away from Cal. We left the room with Cal in trail.
"Zing why do you need me? I don't want to join the party." He brought me over to Darby.
"This. Who is this?" He questioned me.
"This is Darby. And Veta is here too." I looked around the room and pointed to her. She was talking with Vikk. He was so Veta's type. What a match too, Veta and Vikk, I rated it. Way more than her and her current boyfriend, that's for sure.
"I thought it was a fan or something. She said she knew you." Of course.
"Enjoy him Darby, he's something else." I put on a fake smile. "But really his smile, you'll love it." I tried to go hide away but I was stopped again. It looked like I wasn't going to get to hide away. As the night continued people got to the blackout point and dispersed home or around the flat or the other guys flats. But the evil thing didn't leave Simon and he didn't push her away either. He hands were all over him and I was stuck watching it out of the corner of my eye while people tried to continue to talk to me. People I didn't know or even care to know.
I eventually found my way out of the living room but Simon and Cora had gone missing. They were nowhere to be found. Neither were Veta and Darby. I looked around the room for someone I felt comfortable enough around but saw no one. All of Sidemen and crew were passed out or gone. I walked back towards Simon's room and heard voices, anyone could have guessed who. I guess you could say that this had to be the worst first day of marriage anyone could ask for.
If I couldn't go into his room then I needed to do something. I snooped around the rest of his flat. I found his office there wasn't much to it. I found an extra bathroom, again not much to see. There was a spare bedroom which had some passed out people in it. But there was one room that was locked. No noise coming from inside, needed a key to get in. I wanted to know what the room held but it wasn't an option.
There was no option for me in the flat. I found a piece of paper and pen and wrote a note. "I guess we all make mistakes. Hope you enjoyed Cora. X wife." I placed the note on the fridge with a magnet and left the flat. I wandered the halls of the building before eventually wandering out onto the cold winter streets.
I wanted so bad to just go home. But I didn't want to end up dead. I walked up and down the street until the cold became unbearable and wandered back inside the building. I went back to Simon's floor and sat outside the flat and pulled out my phone.
