Chapter 3

As I walked into the gates of the school I smiled at myself.  "Oh my God!  Rose is that you!"  I searched for the owner of the high pitched squeaky voice already knowing who it belonged to.  Lissa quickly ran up to me holding me tightly.  "I thought you were dead.  Or worse."  I smiled at her showing her my pearly whites.  I know what you're thinking.  My fangs?  Well yes well see strigoi actually have a hard time hiding their fangs so I got a nice set of fake teeth to hide my fangs.

"Oh Lissa I missed you so much!"  I said holding her tighter trying to resister the urge to bite into that soft skin of hers.  I turned to look at her and she looked so fragile.  Then again everyone did compared to me.  "I'm going to go find Headmistress okay?  You should go to class.  We'll catch up tonight."  I walked away and she laughed happidly away.  Stupid, stupid girl.  I walked in the office and everyone gasped. 

"Rosemarie Hathaway?"  I smiled and hugged Headmistress.

"Oh my God!  You have no idea how much I've missed you!  If you only knew the hell I went through to get here."  She ushered me to her office.

"Tell me dear Rose.  What happened to you?"

"Well when the raid happened I was taken by the horrid strigoi.  They kept me captive for almost a week till I found a way out.  I've been traveling all day.  I am to tired to do anything else right now.  I was wondering if due to the fact of what happened if I could have the week off from school and training.  I feel so,"  I let a few tears run down slowly.  Yes they were clear not bloody.  I had taught myself how to use the water from my eyes as fake tears.

"Of course dear, I am so sorry.  Well off you go.  Your room is waiting for you."  I held her gaze for a minute longer and finally walked out.  I was walking to my room when I heard a gasp.

"So were you even planning on telling me you were back?"  I turned and saw Dimitri.  Could he have gotten sexier in my absent?

"I was planning on it.  It's just been a very long week and I wasn't ready yet.  I'm to tired to deal with telling the story over again."  I sighed and he gave me a hug.  A real hug.  I hugged him back and he stiffened. 

"You're freezing?  He tried to look in my eyes and I quickly turned my head. 

"Are we done here, Dimitri?"  I asked and started walking.

"What happened to you, Rose?"  I didn't even bother to answer and I quickened my pace to my room.

There was no way I was letting him get close to me before  Ichanged him into strigoi, no way was I going to fall for him again.  Not in the form he was in.
