Chapter 13

The weeks passed and soon all my teachers forgot about everything and most of the student body had to.  I'm not going to start pointing fingers at who could have possibly done that but I'm pretty sure Lissa and Adrian had something to do with it.  I was eating regularly again.  But I guess my body still wasn't happy about that because I kept throwing up.  Adrian and I hadn't done the dirty deed since the first time.  Mostly because I just didn't feel up to it, and because Dimitri made sure he was always guarding my room.  So getting Adrian in was harder than usual. 

I wiped my mouth from the already stinking puke that I just managed to come out of my skinny body.  I must be getting sick.  It had been two months since I started throwing up and 1 month since I started having stomach pains.  "Liss, listen I can't make it to the dance tonight."

"What why?"

"I'm going to go to the nurse I've been feeling kind of sick for awhile.  I'll try to come back as soon as possible and then head to the party."  She looked sad but Christian ushered her out.  God I hope I wasn't coming down with a stomach bug.  I mean wouldn't it have left by now, unless maybe it's a side effect to being turned dhampir again.  Yeah it's probably just that. 

"Well Miss Rose Hathaway, when was the last time I saw you in here?"  The nurse asked and I laughed.

"I think maybe two years ago.  How have you been?"  I asked and we kept up chit chat till she realized I came in here for a reason.  "Well you see for the past three months I've been having stomach pains.  For the past two months I've been throwing up constantly.  I mean I don't think it's a bug.  It's probably just something about me turning dhampir again.  So I just wanted to see if you could give me any medicine?"

"Rose are you sexually active?"  I nodded dreading where this was going.  She went to a cabinet and pulled out a pregnancy test.  "Go take this and tell me what the results say."  I nodded took it and waited for the results.  When I looked down I saw the two pink lines.  Pregnant. 

I was pregnant?  But no.  God damn it!  I completely forgot about Adrian wearing a rubber when ever we did that three months ago.  Shit!  I am pregnant!

"Rose are you okay?"

"Yeah it says I'm not pregnant.  I guess I'm just having some side effects.  I'll be on my way."  I ran out and straight into Dimitri.

"Rose?  Are you okay?  You look a little stressed.  Do you want to talk about it?"
