Chapter 15

For those of you who love Adrian, you may want to skip these gory details.  Sorry, I love the guy too, but this is how I want this story to end.

He lunged at me and I gasped barely moving out of the way.  I looked around at my surroundings.  There was a wooden bench, it looked old so would probably be able to break easily.  I looked at the emerging on me Adrian.  I ran over to the bench and broke the leg grabbing it.  He grabbed me and spun me around.  I shoved the stake in his heart and I saw a tear roll down his cheek.  "Adrian I'm so sorry," he fell and died in my arms.  I stared at his body crying. 

"Rose Hathaway?  My, you're a traitor?"  I turned and saw the friend of my former maker.  I got up to go after him but he was already gone.  I carried Adrian's limp body to the headmistresses.  She looked at me shocked.

"He turned strigoi.  I had to kill him the body of Mia is still out front."  She saw the blood on my shirt and looked down at Adrian.  His eyes were still red. 

"Miss Hathaway go to your dorm now.  I'll call his parents right away, don't tell anyone yet."  I nodded, looked at the body one last time and walked out.  Everyone was in the party so it was quite dark and quiet.  Except for the footsteps behind me.  I didn't even have a time to turn around because I was thrown into a tree and the blackness surrounded me.

One week later

I woke up in my bed still refusing to leave my room.  The night Adrian died I was thrown into a tree by the strigoi, I lost my baby.  Which once Adrian was dead I had decided to follow through with the pregnancy so something to carry on Adrian's name.  I was dead to the world, I didn't want to ever leave my bedroom.  It was torture out there without Adrian.  And plus everyone knew what had happen.  Of course people had their stories.  I could hear them when they walked past my door. 

"That's where Rose lives.  Did you hear that she turned her boyfriend strigoi and then killed that Mia chicked?"  I knew they had no clue as to what really happened.

But just as I was about to go to bed I heard a loud knock at my door.  I got up and answered it only to be greeted by the queen.  "Rose Hathaway?"  I nodded.  "So you are the girl who killed my grandson."  I invited her in and she smiled at me.

"Yes, I'm sorry.  He just turned strigoi after we had an argument.  You see queen we were dating and he caught me hugging one of my friends.  I had found out I was pregnant with Adrian's child.  He told me to tell Adrian and your grandson walked in on that.  He was under the influence and refused to listen to me when I told him there was nothing going on.  So after that I chased after him, he was really mad and said something horrible to me so I slapped him.  He got irritated with me and bared his teeth.  He was going to bite me and I was going to let him so he would be fine.  Then Mia showed up and he just went insane.  He attacked her and tried to attack me I was taught to kill them I had to do it.  I'm sorry queen."  She smiled at me still and held my gaze.

"Rose how is the baby?"

"I lost the baby that night.  Miscarriage."  She looked truly sadden by this. "Ma'am it's not that I don't love your company but I was about to go to bed when you came around,"

"Oh of course sweetie I'll let you go.  I want you to find guardian Belikov."  That got my attention I hadn't seen him since that night.  He hadn't even checked on me.
