Chapter 14

"Actually yeah I would."  As we walked to a bench I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes.  "Dimitri I don't what to do.  Before I tell you, promise me you wont go and kill Adrian."

"Roza I doubt..."

"Promise!

"Okay I promise," he said and I let a tear roll down.  This was one of the only times he has seen me shed a tear.

"Dimitri I'm pregnant."  He tensed and I saw rage in his eyes.  He stood up and I grabbed his arm.  "You promised you wouldn't hurt Adrian.  Dimitri right now I just need a friend I can talk to about this.  There is no way I am telling Lissa.  She would make a huge deal about it.  I cant tell Adrian, I don't want a child.  I don't want to end up like all the other female dhampirs.  I don't want that life."  I cried and he put his arm around me.

"Rose let me tell you something," I hid my face in his coat and nodded for him to continue.  "My mother and sister are those females.  And I don't want you to end up like them.  I love them all to death, but if you were like them, it just wouldn't be right.  It wouldn't be Rose.  But Adrian is a moroi, he needs to know if he has a child.  I know you don't want him to know but it'sthe right thing to do."  I looked at him and felt what I had in the cabin again.  I was still madly and deeply in love with him.  But I had ruined all my chances of ever being with him by going to Adrian's bed,  okay technically it was my bed but you get what I'm saying.

"Dimitri, I'll tell him, once I figure stuff out."  I knew I wasn't going to follow through with this pregnancy.  I couldn't graduate and become a full guardian with a baby in high school.

"Just think about having the baby first Rose.  And you should tell him pretty fast because you'll be showing soon."  I looked away.  Shit I forgot about that.

"Okay I'll tell him tonight.  But Dimitri don't tell anybody okay.  I just got my old life back I don't want to go back to being the center of attention."  He nodded and kissed my forehead. 

"Do you want me to escort you to the party or to your bedroom?"  I smiled and shook my head no. 

"I'm going to head to Adrian's room.  He, he didn't want to go to the party.  Thank you though."  As I walked away he pulled me back into a hug.

"You might not want me to but I will always care about you," he put a strand of my hair.  I looked in his eyes and he leaned down slowly.

"What the fuck is going on here?"  We froze and I looked at Adrian. 

"Adrian!  It's not what it looks like!  We were talking!"  I yelled and saw he had a huge bottle of vodka that was empty.

"You were just about to kiss your fucking teacher!  You were about to act like what we were was nothing just to get with him.  Fuck you Rose!"  I gasped and he ran off.

"Dimitri I have to go get him.  He's to drunk to make it to his room alone."  I ran after him and stopped him.  "Adrian, babe, listen to me.  That back there was nothing.  We were talking about something I actually want to talk to you about."

"Rose we are done."  I sighed and took his hand refusing to let him pull it away.

"Adrian I'm pre..."  He pushed me down to the ground and laughed at me.

"You really thought you could pull off dating your teacher?  Why would you pull me along like this?  Did you think that I could be your arm candy so nobody would think twice about you and Belikov?"  His rage showed and I backed down actually scared of him.  "Well guess what Rose even if I was sober I would have seen the way you two were looking at each other.  You love each other and don't even try to deny it Rose.  You love him he loves you.  I wish I could've seen it earlier before I could get my heart broken like this."

I couldn't control it anymore.  I slapped him and he growled at me baring his teeth.  I took another step back and he grabbed me holding me still.  "Adrian calm down please."  He laughed at me and I saw a young moroi.  Mia.

"Hey what's going on over here?"  Adrian snapped and went after her.  I tried to fight him off but he simply couldn't help it.  He drained her dry and I saw his eyes turn red.  He was gone.  He was a strigoi.
