We all stared up at the wand that was taunting us from the middle of a force field. We crowded around it.
I said, "There it is."
Jay cheered, "Whoo!"
We rushed down the staircase to the floor where the wand floated. Mal said, "This is it. We found it."
I said, "Almost too easy."
Jay ducked under the railing.
I said, "Jay, don't be idiotic. There's a force field around it for a reason."
Jay shrugged it off. "Don't worry about it. I'm a master thief."
I muttered, "But not a SMART master thief."
The second Jay's fingers touched the force field, he bounced back, flipping in the process. A siren began to wail.
We all yelled, "OW!"
Carlos said, "A force field AND a siren?"
I said, "Well, obviously! They're not dumb!"
Jay said, "It's just a little excessive."
I said, "LET'S GO!"
The phone rang and Carlos quickly ran to it, making sure to cover everything up, saying it was a 'false alarm'. But as soon as we saw the silhouette of the security guard, he quickly hung up.
Evie called, "CARLOS!"
Carlos replied, "You're welcome."
As we ran out, I said, "Way to go, Jay. Now we have to go to school tomorrow!"Maddie's P.O.V.
The bell tolled. We all walked towards the castle, I mean, school. I said, "I know stone victims parents are going to be here. I can feel it in my bones."
"Yeah," Evie said, "It either that or you didn't apply enough black lipstick--"
Carlos, Mal, Jay and I yelled, "EVIE!"
I bit my lip and already ran into someone. I looked up, "Okay, just because I'm a villain's kid, doesn't mean I'm a punching bag. Out of my way."
"Sorry," He said, it was Ben, "I didn't realise I was walking into you"
"Clearly" I said
He asked, "how'd you sleep"
"Like a baby" I said sarcastically.
"not so good then" he said
Jay sighed, "we've got to go."
"See you around" he said smiling. I faked a smile and waved."If someone hands you a crying baby, what do you do?" The Fairy Godmother asked. "Do you A- curse it, B- Lock it in a tower, C- give it a bottle or D- Carve out it's heart?"
I sighed as Evie raised her hand.
She automatically said, "Evie!"
Evie said, "What was the second one?"
"Oh, okay." The fairy godmother frowned. "Carlos?" No reply. "Maddie, please?"
I sighed, "C-give it a bottle."
Carlos said, "You are on fire, girl."
I laughed.
Mal said, "It just sounds like you're picking the ones that don't sound like any fun."
I said, "I am."
A girl ran in. She squeaked in fear as she passed by us. I put my legs on the desk.
"Hi." She said and then turned to the Fairy Godmother. "You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation."
The Fairy Godmother said, "I hope everyone remembers my daughter, Jane."
Jane said, "Mom, no!"
I chuckled and nudged Jay.
"It's okay," The Fairy Godmother cooed. "Jane, this is everyone."
Jane said, "Hi. That's okay, don't mind me." She curtsied, "As you were." "Ahem," the Fairy Godmother said. "Let's continue with the lesson."
