"Oh, look," I said, "How cute. It's Family Day."
Ben was singing. "Ma chere mademosisle, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight! And now, we invite you to relax. Let us pull up a chair as the dinner room proudly presents to you; DINNER!"
I mocked their dance moves before saying, "let's go."
We jumped off the balcony and landed on the ground in a crouched position. In a crouched position, but on our feet. We got up and Mal, Evie and Carlos were walking towards us.
The choir finished, "Be our guest."
We walked past a snack table. I took a strawberry, Mal took a sandwich and Carlos and Jay attacked the chocolate fountain. I rolled my eyes.
I said, "I really don't see the reason we're here. I mean, we have a solid plan and eating fruits and chocolates has nothing to do with it."
Mal said, "If we weren't here, people would start questioning us."
I rolled my eyes. "Hey Maddie" Ben called. I waked towards him and his parents. "Maddie, I want to introduce you to my parents" he said. I gave I'm a hug before turning to his parents. "Mom, dad. This is Maddie from the island" he said.
"Why don't you join us for lunch" Belle suggested. "I actually came with my friends" I said. "Well then bring them. The more the merrier" she said.
King Beast said, "How about a game of croquet before lunch?"
"Your on" Ben said fist pumping him
We both turned around
I said, "What's croquet?"
Well, turns out that Mal and I were terrible at croquet and Carlos just chased Dude. I leaned on my croquet mallet out of boredom.
An old, unknown woman walked towards us. She said, "Hello there."
Mal said, "Hi."
I forced a smile, "Hey."
The woman asked Mal, "Now...have we met?"'
Mal looked confused. "No, I don't think so. I'm new, and so are my friends."
I said, "We're sort of, like, transfer students."
"Oh," the woman said, "Yes."
Audrey walked towards the woman. "Grammy!"
"Oh, Audrey!" The woman said, "Give Grammy a kiss, dear."
GRAMMY?
"Grammy?" I asked, "As in, Sleeping Beauty's mother?"
Audrey nodded. "Grammy, I don't think you want to be talking to these girls. Unless you feel like taking another hundred-year nap or turning into stone"
The old woman said, "What?"
Mal's eyes glimmered and so did mine.
"You two!" The woman yelled, thinking Mal was Maleficent and I was Medusa. "H-How are you two here? And how have you stayed so young and how have you lost your snakes?"
Ben ran over. Ben said, "Queen Leah, it's okay. Maleficent and Medusa are still on the island."
Ben said, "These are their daughters, Mal and Maddie."
Ben said, "Don't you remember my proclamation to give the new generation a chance?"
"A chance to what?" Queen Leah hissed, "DESTROY us? The poison apples," she looked straight at me, "the spells. Spells. My daughter...was raised by fairies, because of--" she pointed at Mal, "--your mother's curse! Her first words, first steps, I missed it all! You must not trust her! Any of them!"
Jay, Evie and Carlos were now behind us.
Mal reached out, "I'm so, so sorry!"
Chad got in between them and yelled, "Go away! Stay away from her!"
I pushed in front of Mal. "Don't talk to her like that!"
Ben said, "Don't do this, Chad."
"What?" Chad hissed, "They were raised by their parents. What do you think villains teach their kids, huh? Kindness? Fair play? Uh-uh, no way, okay?" He pointed at me, "You stole another girl's boyfriend!" He pointed at Mal. "You break all the rules" He pointed at Jay, "You enjoy hurting people!" He pointed at Evie. "You, you're nothing but a gold digger and a cheater!"
I said, "At least we're smart enough to know what a true friend is. And who are you to talk about being a gold digger? We all know the real reason your with Audrey. And don't talk to my friends like that!" I took off my necklace.
"Look me in the eyes, I dare you" I threatened him
Jay covered my eyes so I couldn't turn him into stone. Someone put my necklace on.
Evie said, "Mirror, mirror in my hand; who's the biggest jerk in the land?"
She shoved it in his face as he appeared in the mirror.
"What?" Chad said, "Come on!"
I managed to muffle out, "You know it's true, admit it!"
Chad yelled, "YOU'RE ONE TO TALK! DID YOU STEAL HIS JACKET TOO"
Ben shoved Chad onto the ground. "No, she didn't, actually."
Evie sprayed some of the pass-out perfume onto Chad and he fainted.
Audrey said, "Chad? Chad! Evie did something to Chad!"
I tried to charge but Jay held me back. He muttered, "Come on, Maddie."
