YVONNE'S POV

Two weeks.

Two weeks of being trapped inside Malfoy Manor, cut off from the outside world, while the Death Eaters strutted around like they owned the place. Well—technically, they did own the place, but still.

"I love being able to take a proper shower again, but being locked up here is getting boring," Dahlia groaned dramatically, draping herself across an armchair like some Victorian maiden with a fainting spell.

"You've said that every day," Regulus chuckled , slouching against the fireplace.

"Because I mean it every day."

"I've tried to find a way out, but I can't," Draco said, his frustration bubbling under the surface.

"It's fine, babe. We just have to be patient," Pansy said, though even her voice lacked its usual sharpness. The walls were getting to all of us.

Before Draco could reply, the door slammed open. Astra's father, Blaise's mother, and Dahlia's mum stormed in, Death Eater masks in hand, eyes sharp and unreadable.

"Where's my father?" Mattheo asked immediately, standing up straighter.

Mattheo was right, in the two weeks we had been here we hadn't seen the Dark Lord.

The three exchanged glances.

"He doesn't know that you and your friends have been here for some time now. And we intend to keep that a secret, because if he finds out you've been helping Potter destroy his Horcruxes, he'll kill you all. No mercy, no second chances," Dahlia's mum said flatly.

"That's not why we're here," Blaise's mother added. "Some of us will be leaving."

Blaise's head snapped up. "Leaving? Why?"

"Hogwarts has fallen," Astra's father said coldly. "Dumbledore is dead. Snape is the new Headmaster."

The room dropped into an abyss of silence.

Draco's expression shattered. "No... No, that's not possible."

"It's not only possible, it's already done," Astra's father said, his tone void of empathy. "The Order's scattered. Hogwarts belongs to the Dark Lord now."

Mattheo shot up, his eyes gleaming with cold fury. "So that's it? You came to gloat?"

"No," Blaise's mother said, almost amused. "We're here to inform you that some of us are going back to Hogwarts to oversee His operations."

"And you're staying here," Dahlia's mum added with a sinister grin. "But don't think of this as a chance to escape. You'll have... company."

"What company?" Mattheo demanded.
