YVONNE'S POV

Pansy's words hit the room like a curse.

The air shifted sharply, dangerously, electric. Even the torches along the walls seemed to flicker uneasily. Lorenzo didn't flinch, but something cold passed behind his eyes. A fracture in the veneer. Brief, but unmistakable.

"I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that," he said quietly, his tone controlled. "I'm not your enemy, Parkinson."

"You are," she snapped without hesitation.

The Death Eaters shoved Draco toward the hallway. He didn't resist. Didn't plead. He only lifted his chin, squared his shoulders, and walked forward like someone heading toward his own execution.

Pansy wasn't pretending to be strong.

She surged forward, wild and desperate, only to be stopped when Theodore and Blaise both grabbed her arms.

"Pansy—stop—" Blaise hissed, panic threading his voice.

"I won't—! Let go of me!" She thrashed against them, her voice cracking. "He can't go with them—he can't—"

"Pansy."

Draco's voice cut through everything.

Soft. Apologetic.

Final.

She froze instantly, her breath hitching, tears trembling at the edges of her eyes as she looked at him.

"I need you to stay here," he said gently. "Safe."

"No," she whispered, shaking her head.

"I'll be back."

He didn't wait for her answer.

The Death Eaters dragged him out of sight, and the door slammed shut behind them with a hollow, echoing sound that seemed to vibrate through my chest.

Something inside Pansy shattered then.

Not loudly. Not violently.

Silently.

She didn't scream or collapse. She just stood there stone-still. Like a porcelain doll with a spiderweb crack running straight through the centre.

Lorenzo turned back toward us, exhaling through his nose as though the entire situation bored him. "You're all very dramatic, you know that?"

Blaise looked ready to stab him on the spot. "Get out."

"Gladly," Lorenzo replied, adjusting his sleeve as if he hadn't just ripped the heart out of the room. "In the meantime, don't do anything stupid. I'll know."

"Oh, fuck off," Theodore growled.

The moment Lorenzo vanished, Pansy finally moved.

"I'm going after him," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
