Chapter 48

Ed's POV:

Today I wanted to show Skye how much I love her. I wanted to treat her to something special, with nothing she could insist on paying for, and I had just the idea.

Her eyes flickered open and she smiled as she caught me staring at her. "How long have you been awake?" she whispered softly. "10, 15 minutes maybe? Not long, I don't mind anyway, you look cute when you sleep". She giggled quietly as I traced a finger over her lips. She kissed my fingertip, making me grin. I kissed her lips back lightly, leaning towards her and taking her hands in mine, she pulled away. "You're being very affectionate lately, not that I'm complaining", I chuckled, "I've just missed you.. a lot, just like um, its nearly lunch time so, you wanna grab a bite to eat or something?" I stuttered after hearing my stomach rumble loudly. "I'd like that" she grinned, pulling the blanket off me and wrapping it around her as she got up, leaving me stark naked and her completely covered. "Leave me cold then.." I smirked and she just laughed, pulling out some clothes from her case and dropping the blanket just outside the bathroom door, so I had a quick glance of her bum. I got up and made the bed before getting dressed myself. Once we were both ready, we left the room hand in hand.

We sat down in a small cafe just a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it was a sweet little place. Not too posh but not too scummy, I liked it. "Bacon and Egg sandwich please!" I told the waitress. Skye ordered just a bacon sandwich and within 5 minutes they were brought to the table.

I took a bite from my sandwich before asking her, "What did you get up to while I was away?", wondering if she suffered as bad as I did. She just shrugged, "nothing really, now I have no job so just, chilled at home I guess..". I smiled, "our home". A smile was brought to her face once again and she nodded. "I wanna show you something today.." I said, carrying on. "What is it?" she asked making me laugh. "It's a surprise Skye, wait and see!".
