Chapter 8:
Natalie’s POV
I picked up my bags and shoved them into my trunk. I was not in a good mood, and the only thing I wanted to do was go home and practice volleyball. I was pulling the car out, when all of a sudden; a certain figure appeared behind it.
“WOAH! WHAT THE HECK MAN! MOVE!” I screamed to the person who I almost just ran over. Turns out the person I almost killed was the person I was trying to avoid the most: Harry Styles. Now I wish I didn’t hit the brakes. He walked over to my car and sat in the passenger seat.
“Get out of my car,” I told him crossly.
“Just like déjà vu,” he said with a small smile.
“Get out.”
“I’m not leaving until I talk to you.”
“Fine, say what you want to and leave.”
Harry’s POV
Oh great, I got her attention only by almost getting killed. I finally convinced her to have a conversation with me, and now I don’t know what to say. How do I begin?
I cleared my throat, opened my mouth, and words came pouring out, “Today, when I first got into your car, something happened. Something about you; it was just something I’ve never seen in a girl before,” she opened her mouth but before she could say anything I continued, “We flirted a whole lot today. I don’t know if you were just playing around on your part, but I really want to honestly get close to you. You’re funny and real. You don’t act all girly, or stupid. You don’t try to impress us, even though we’re well known. I’ve tried to get close you; I’ve asked you all these questions just to learn a little bit more about you. But every time I’ve tried, I’ve just been pushed out. I-I-I think I like you Nat.”
And before she could say anything, I got out of the car and left.
