Chapter 15:
Harry’s POV
I can’t believe she doesn’t remember me. Holy crap.
“I’m Harry, Harry Styles. Remember, the guy in the group, One Direction? The guy you spent the whole day with a while ago?” I told her; maybe that’ll make her remember.
I knew that if I told her about the night after the concert she’d remember me, but it would be kind of awkward if I did. I stood there, waiting for her to remember me.
“Oh yeah, the one who hooked up with my sister? Yeah I remember you! Fuck you,” she said.
Well, at least she remembers me.
I sat down and just stared into space. Then I heard the pilot’s voice come onto the speaker, telling us to turn our electronics off. I got my phone out and was turning it off when I saw that Natalie has seen my background. I opened my mouth, about to say something, but I quickly closed it when I realized I didn’t know what to say. Then she turned away from me, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
A few hours later, I was just sitting there, dozing off, when I felt a light weight fall on my shoulder. I look and see that Natalie feel asleep on my shoulder. I didn’t bother waking her up; she looked so peaceful while sleeping. Instead, I leaned my head on top of hers and fell asleep.
Zayn’s POV
Oh goodness. Harry’s sitting next to Natalie. These coincidences are starting to get a tad bit uncanny. It seems like Harry or Nat’s always at the right place at the right time. Now, I don’t really believe in fate, or ‘it was meant to be’, but in this case, I actually think it may be applicable.
Natalie may not be the most attractive girl, but I guess she’s okay. Her looks aren’t a stunner, but her personality sure is. Just her witty, carefree, hard-to-get charm is very attractive.
Do I like her? I’m sure trying not to; if Harry didn’t like her, then definitely. But Harry really likes her. I’ve never seen him act this way because of a girl. Just stealing her would be a really really low blow; and bros before hoes right? Not that Nat is a hoe; any guy would be really lucky to have her. You know, people usually call me the mysterious one. I like to stay that way; it’s a good opportunity to read people. I’ve gotten pretty good at it to; most people are like open books. But Natalie, she’s the hardest person I’ve ever met so far. I look to my left, where I see Harry and Nat both sleeping together, both leaning on each other. I swear, they were meant to be.
Louis interrupted my train of thought when he tapped me on my shoulder.
“I bet you they will end up together in Australia,” he whispered.
“Alright, I’m up for a bet. How much?”
“Erm… Let’s leave it at $15.”
“Deal. And I bet they won’t.”
“What? Why?”
“I don’t know. I just feel like they won’t.”
“Well then, prepare yourself to pay me $15.”
I smiled to myself, knowing that Louis was going to lose. I just had this hunch that they won’t get together; and my hunches tend to be right. Then I leaned against the seat pillow and fell asleep.
