Chapter 25:

Zayn’s POV

Natalie finally agreed to go with me somewhere. But where? I glanced over at Liam, who was persistently pounding against the door.

“Hey Liam,” I said, “If this was Danielle’s first time here and you were going to go out with her, where would you go?”

He stopped knocking on the door for a moment, “I would say the Australia Zoo, why?”

“Oh nothing. Hey, when you finally manage to get Harry out of the bathroom, take him out somewhere to cheer him up,” I told nobody specifically while I grabbed my wallet and cellphone.

I walked out of the room and called up a personal cab and the Australia Zoo, making some personal arrangements.

The chauffeur drove up to the back entrance of the hotel and I quickly walked in. I immediately spotted Natalie sitting in the lobby. She looked beautiful; wait, snap out of it. You don’t like Natalie; you can’t like Natalie Zayn… I met her and led her to the back entrance, where we quickly got into the car.

“So where are we going?” she asked me. Her voice sounded so broken, it almost made me want to cry. Woah, you’re a man, you don’t cry.

            “You like animals?”

“I have nothing against them, unless they release some bodily fluids on me,” she replied back. I still haven’t gotten over how different her voice sounds, how dead it sounds; it’s abnormal.

“Yeah well that won’t happen in the Australia Zoo.”

A look of delight crossed her face but was so quickly replaced by her glum look that I questioned myself if it was ever there.

Natalie’s POV

After our little conversation at the start of the car ride, the car grew uncomfortably silent. Why must my life consist of awkward moments? I just sat there awkwardly while looking out of the window, until the chauffeur decided to turn on the radio. The familiar tune of Bieber’s Boyfriend came up. It’s funny because this song sounds like a whale song. But I must admit, it is rather catchy.

Zayn gave me an excited look, “Marvin has a good taste in music, I see.”

The chauffeur’s name is Marvin? Well in that case, thank you Marvin.

After the song was over, Zayn said, “You know we’re doing a collaboration.”

            “Pardon?”

“With Justin. We collaborated with him.”

“Not sure if that’s a good idea.”

“Why?” he asked with a laugh.

“Well, let’s see. The biggest boy band and the biggest male solo artist release a song together? Girls everywhere would probably faint.”

He just smiled and soon enough, we were talking nonstop about everything.

At one point of the conversation, I noticed he had tattoos on his arms.

I pointed to them and asked, “How many tattoos do you have?”

He looked slightly startled by this; then he replied, “Well I have a couple on my arms, one of the back of my neck, and a few on my torso,” he paused and slowly began to lift his shirt up, “Here, I can show…”

I quickly stopped him, “No, no, no. Dear God, no, I’m good. Keep your clothes on, please.”

He attempted to stifle a laugh but failed miserably. Then Marvin turned around, “Mr. Malik, you have arrived at your destination.”

Do they have chauffeurs talk like GPS? I don’t know.

Zayn quickly got out and offered me a hand. I accepted and got out of the car, and into the sunny day.
