"After the Day Has Taken Me"
(Evening. You've done what had to be done. And now?)
After the day has taken me
through its usual maze -
demanding,
draining,
deciding -
I return.
To me.
To the girl who survived the morning,
who did what she didn't want to,
but did it anyway.
The dishes still wait,
and the world isn't softer -
but I am.
I sink into myself,
into the quiet that feels earned
and the thoughts that had to wait
until now.
Maybe I didn't shine today,
but I didn't shatter either.
And sometimes,
that's all the glory I need.🥀
