( Siya leaves with the driver to pick up her daughter. On the way, traffic causes more delay. She reaches the school at 2:30 PM, but her daughter isn't there. The school receptionist says someone came to pick her up, and she left with them. Hearing this, Siya gets furious and asks who came to get her daughter, and why she wasn't informed.)
The school receptionist says Siya was already late, and her daughter told them to call her "uncle" since the school had already made 4 calls from her daughter's phone to Siya Singhania, but Siya hadn't answered. So, at her daughter's request, they called her uncle, who came and took her.
Siya thinks maybe it really was her uncle who picked her up. She tells the school receptionist that from now on, if she can't answer the phone, they should never send her daughter with anyone and must keep her at school until Siya gives direct permission.
She then calls her uncle, but his phone doesn't connect. She's still worried about her daughter and calls Miss Daral to ask about her.
**Siya Singhania:** Hello, Miss Daral.
**Miss Daral:** Yes, dear, tell me.
**Siya Singhania:** Has Siya come home with Uncle?
**Miss Daral:** No, dear. Uncle went to pick her up after the school called, but they haven't reached home yet.
**Siya Singhania** (shocked): What? What are you saying, Miss Daral? Why didn't you call me to tell me?
**Miss Daral:** I thought maybe they had gone to you.
**Siya Singhania:** Why would Uncle bring her to me? His phone isn't connecting, and neither is Siya's. What should I do?
**Miss Daral:** Don't worry, dear. It hasn't been that long since he left. Maybe they're stuck in traffic. They'll come soon.
(Just then, Miss Daral sees Uncle arriving with Siya.)
**Siya Singhania:** Uncle's here? Okay, I'll be home right now.
(She tells the driver to drive faster and rushes inside the house. Everyone sees Siya Singhania breathing heavily from running. Seeing her daughter brings her relief. Miss Daral, a bit alarmed, asks:)
**Miss Daral:** Siya, are you okay?
**Siya Singhania:** Yes, Miss Daral, I'm fine.
(She goes to her daughter, touches her face, and hugs her.)
**Siya Singhania:** Are you alright, dear?
**Daughter:** Yes, Mumma, I'm fine.
**Siya Singhania:** Miss Daral, please change Siya's clothes.
**Miss Daral:** Yes, dear, of course. (She takes the daughter to her room.)
(Siya Singhania turns to her uncle.)
**Siya Singhania:** Uncle, why wasn't your phone connecting? And neither was Siya's.
**Uncle:** Dear, there was a network problem with my phone. I think Siya's phone had the same issue because we went to have ice cream, and the area had poor network coverage.
**Siya Singhania:** Uncle, why take her to some unknown place for ice cream? You could've gone to a big mall or restaurant, or ordered it home.
**Uncle:** Siya insisted on having street ice cream, so I had to take her.
**Siya Singhania:** Uncle, if she insists next time, please try to explain to her, and before taking her anywhere, inform me first.
**Uncle:** Alright, dear. Don't worry. I won't do anything again that will trouble you. But, dear, it's unusual for you to be late picking her up from school. How come you were late today and missed her calls?
