Second Sight

The Chosen One

Grace was wandering through the halls of the Bounty, the topic of the serpentine still fresh in her mind. Not only that, but also everyone's plan to get Lloyd back. They had been on the lookout for the serpentine for a while now. Apparently they had sent the falcon to look out for them.

Grace jumped when a beeping sounded from the bridge. When she ran in there, she saw a video feed of a temple at the base of a huge volcano. The were there as well.

"Looks like Pythor's at the Temple of Fire," Nya said. "That means the fang blade is there!" Kai exclaimed. "And Lloyd," Garmadon added. "That's the same fire temple where Kai and Lord Garmadon first faced off!" "If my memory serves me correct," Kai started, "I'd say one of us cheated back when we last fought!"

"And I remember someone needing their Sensei to save them!"

"Guys!" Cole shouted. "For the sake of the fang blade and Lloyd, can we please just get along!" "My brother's right," Grace replied. "We'll never get anywhere if we spend all our time fighting!" Kai huffed in response.

"Since the last time we've been there," Nya explained, "it looks like the volcano's grown unstable. The place is a powder keg just waiting to blow up! This will be a highly combustible  environment." "Oh great!" Jay started. "Just what I like. Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up!" "We will do what we must," Sensei said.

"Yes Sensei," Zane replied. "But where are our weapons?" Kai looked around. "And why is Lord Garmadon not here?!" He ran off. "Kai!" Sensei shouted after him. They went after him hearing yelling from a room down below. "Kai?" Nya called. "Are you in here?" A door slammed shut in reply. It was locked.

"What are you doing?!" Nya yelled.

"Discovering my true potential!'

Jay tried the door again. "It's locked!" Nya explained what Kai was trying to do, Defeat Lord Garmadon. "Why would he think that?" "Cause he thinks he's the Green Ninja!"

"Well someone has to stop him!" Grace exclaimed. "On it! EARTH!" Her brother used his true potential to knock down the door. They ran in to Kai panting and Garmadon on the floor. "Did I do it? Are my eyes glowing? Why isn't it working!"

"Because," Sensei replied. "You cannot defeat someone who allowed himself to be defeated. I asked hime to fetch the golden weapons." "I wasn't going to hurt you," Garmadon said. "I was only trying to teach you a lesson." "Perhaps it is best if you do not reach your full potential, or else someone could get hurt." Kai sighed.

Suddenly, the whole rocked. "Are we there?" Grace asked. Her question was answered when they all ran on deck to the sight of the volcano. "So this is the fire temple," Grace breathed. "Yep," Cole replied, ruffling her hair once more. "But don't think for a second I'm letting you in there with us." "Don't worry, I'm not really a fan of highly combustible environments. Be careful out there." He nodded, and the ninja, Sensei Wu, and Lord Garmadon made their way inside.

"So what now?"

"Well, I guess we wait here and be ready when they come out."

Grace sighed. She walked back to the deck and stared off into the temple's entrance. Was it her, or did the air seem to get hotter with every passing minute? All of a sudden, her started throbbing. She rubbed her fingers against her temple before being sent into a vision.

She saw four colored shapes, black, blue, white, and red. Then another color formed in the middle of the other four, green. The original four started spinning around the green as the green started taking shape of...a person? A boy...

She came out of her vision just as the volcano started crumbling and shaking and everyone was running towards the ship. But where was Kai? And Lloyd?

The Bounty blasted off as the volcano erupted. Everyone crowded around the side to watch in dismay.

"Kai..."

"Lloyd..."

Grace squinted as she saw an odd looking ball of light fly out the volcano. "Look!" Everyone gasped. "It's Kai! he's found his true potential!"

Later in the bridge, Garmadon held his son in a warm embrace. "Dad?" Lloyd asked. "Is it really you?" "Yes my son." "Dad, why do you have four arms?" "He gonna be okay!" Cole said as everyone cheered.

"But how did you survive?" Zane asked. "How did you discover the key to unlock your powers?" "I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the fang blade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the green ninja. But then I figured it out. All my training to become the best ninja, wasn't in my preparation to become the green ninja, it was to protect him."

Everyone looked at Lloyd. "What?" he asked. "What is everybody looking at me for?" Grace gasped. "So that vision I had while you were gone. That means..." They put the weapons in front of Lloyd. They started floating in front of him, connected in a green light.

"Lloyd is the green ninja!"
