Second Sight

Beating the Devourer

Everyone was speeding over to New Ninjago City to stop the Great Devourer. They had made a quick stop at Jay's parent's junkyard to build the Ultra Sonic Raider using the Tornado of Creation-which was pretty awesome! But when they got there, however, that snake was already there attacking the city!

The ninja immediately leapt into action, fighting back with their golden weapons. Cole lifted a news truck over his head. "Mind if I borrow this?" He threw it the snake while the reporters cheered. But that wasn't enough as the snake slowly started to over power the ninja.

Just then, Nya, Lloyd, and Grace arrived in the Samurai X mech-despite it being a tight fit-and jammed a light post into the snake's mouth. "Samurai X to the rescue! Again!" Jay shouted. "It's breath smells worse than Cole's chili!" Lloyd yelled above the noise.

"Hey!"

Grace snickered, despite the situation. She looked down into the snake's mouth and gulped. She sure hoped they weren't swaloowed along with everything else the Devourer had consumed. 

"Get out of there!"

"I can't! I'm stuck!"

Suddenly, something flew into the snake, knocking it sideways. "Rocky!" Cole cried. "Our dragons are back!" Grace gasped and strained to get a closer look. She stared on in both awe and slight fear. She had never seen a dragon before, and the sight was astonishing. But a dragon with four heads?!

The four heads threw everything they had at the snake until its head hit a building and the mech fell out its mouth. It was caught by the four headed dragon and deposited onto the park ground. Everyone watched as the beast continued firing attacks at the Devourer, but that didn't last as the snake hit the dragon and sent it hurling towards the ground. The ninja cried out in shock.

"What now?" Nya asked as they ran to the fallen beast. Lloyd turned around and gasped. "You're back!" They turned to see Lord Garmadon standing a ways behind him, slowly making his way towards the ninja.

"Give me the weapons," he comanded. "I am the only one capable of handling all their power at once." As soon as he said those words, Grace gasped as she went into another vision. She saw the four elements, earth, fire, ice, and lightning merge into one. It glowed for a few seconds before being shrouded by darkness and disappearing.

As Grace came to, Garmadon was already running away with the weapons, while the ninja were already leaping in action. No one seemed to have noticed Grace in her vision. "Wait!" She called. "We can't give him the weapons!" "Sorry," Cole walked back to her. "But we had no other choice." Grace stuttered. "B-but my vision..." Cole laid a hand on her shoulder. "Just trust me on this one." Grace nodded as her brother turned to go help stop the snake. 

Nya grabbed her arm and led her and Lloyd to the rooftop of a building while the ninja worked on getting the snake in one spot. They only had to wait a few mintues before the ninja arrived on the dragon. They all cheered and looked to see the snake biting its own tail!

"Now," Cole said. "Where's Garmadon? This snake's not gonna stay still for long!" Lloyd pointed to the roof of a nearby building. "There!"

Suddenly, the sky darkened as Garmadon stood with the weapons. "You are the reason evil runs through my blood! You bit me once, now feel what it's like to be bitten back!" He jumped down from the building towards the snake's weak spot, a small dot on it's head. When he hit it, the snake roared and exploded, sending nasty green goo flooding the city. 

Everyone cheered at the Devourer's defeat. They all ran down and met up with Jay's parents while the dragon flew down to meet them. "Hey," Lloyd said. "I don't see my dad anywhere." Grace sighed. "I knew it was risky giving him the weapons..."

Suddenly Cole gasped. "Sensei Wu!" They looked and gasped when they saw him slowly getting up. They all ran towards him laughing with joy. Sensei Wu welcomed them with open arms. "I can't tell you how glad I am to see you!" He cried as reached for his tea kettle. "The Great Devourer left a bad taste in my mouth!" He drank the tea and sighed with content. "Much better. And still hot!" They all laughed at that. Grace smiled. Sensei was alive. Maybe her dreams weren't bad omens after all. "It's good to have you back, Uncle. But my father left, and he took the golden weapons!"

"Very true," Sensei put his hands on Lloyd's shoulders. "The ability of the weapons is truly great, and the ability to better one's self is limitless." He sighed. "The pupils have become the masters." "Do I really have to fight my father one day?" Lloyd asked. "One day. But today we can feel good that Ninjago is saved. For tomorrow we will train for the day. Good will finally face evil, and a final outcome will finally be decided."

"But don't worry!" Kai said. "We're going to teach you everything we know!" "And make sure you're prepared for that fight!" Jay added. "Cause as we all know," Cole stated, "good will always stand up to evil!" "And ninja always stand up for what is right," Zane added.

"GO NINJA GO!"
