A/N: I'm glad people have been enjoying this work! A year and some change has passed since I finished with the epilogue, but new content and another book are on the way! I will be posting another extra chapter following this one, as these are oneshot drafts I've had sitting in my writing document since before writing the finale for the series! This one takes place in the earlier chapters, before the transition to the universe of Memento Mori, and the following extra chapter takes place after the events in the canon timeline.

It hadn't been but a week since Wen Jingyi began his college classes again. In this time, Xun Jie couldn't have spent all his time alone in the apartment, reading books and drinking tea while waiting for the return of his roommate. There was just no way for a man such as himself to be satisfied so easily.
So, one day, he decided to follow Wen Jingyi to his school. Yes, that sounds outlandish, but what the fuck was Xun Jie supposed to do at the apartment? Outside, he had to master the art of disguise as Wen Jingyi had scolded him many times before, and on top of that, he couldn't even let Wen Jingyi see him.
Hey, this seemed like way more fun than he initially made it out to be!
But another obstacle had grown to be in the way: the entry method.
Here, Xun Jie could only watch as Wen Jingyi and several other people pass through a gate with a device that would beep when they held a card close to it.
Xun Jie sure didn't have one of those! If he had his demonic subordinate in this universe, then tailing Wen Jingyi would be a breeze. Unfortunately, Hai Ruan hadn't been present, and he had already lost sight of Wen Jingyi.
It wasn't until a few hours later that Wen Jingyi had begun making his way out of the building. He was usually the first in the classroom to stand up at the ring of the bell, as he had people in the room to escape from and poor Xun Jie waiting to be taken care of back home.
But upon rushing through the courtyard, the loud mouths of popular characters in his school had been speaking well enough to have some of their words heard clearly.
Party in the dorms tonight? We only just got back into the classroom!
Wen Jingyi only watched as the message was passed on among those other loud people. They couldn't have been more than a year younger than Wen Jingyi yet were partying and living life better than himself.
He shook his head and made a turn on the street to make his way back to the apartment.
But he was stopped dead in his tracks upon meeting the eyes of Xun Jie. The worst aspect of this encounter had not been that it was outside of the privacy of the apartment, but instead that he had been sleeping against a brick building with several women surrounding him. Taking pictures, giggling, ogling and all.
But who could blame them? His hair was up, his biceps were exposed, and he was wearing those damn sunglasses that he forced Wen Jingyi to go back to the store for the first week of living with one another.
Wen Jingyi stopped himself before he could grab his own phone out of his pocket, and slapped Xun Jie's arm to wake him.
And upon being roused awake, he caught himself before falling over, and looked up to face the source of his disturbance.
"Wen Jingyi?" He spoke.
"If you wanted to hang out outside the house then you could have just told me. How the hell did you even find this place?"
Xun Jie was still waking up, and groggily said, "I followed you."
That's not weird at all...
