The Lost boys gathered in front of Peter, all wide eyed and awaiting commands.

As Pan walked amongst them, I was truly able to see the family these boys had made together. It was beautiful. I was just worried that it would be torn apart all too soon.

For the first time since I'd been here the clearing was utterly silent. Not even the birds dared to make noise, and when Peter spoke, it was deafening.

"You all know that we have the upper hand in this battle. This is our home turf. We know the island, and the island knows us. I have placed barriers to limit Sloane's magic, but, as Kate has pointed out time and again, it won't do us any good to underestimate her.

"Nevertheless," he continued, "we must have confidence. Fight bravely, but cleverly. We cannot afford foolish mistakes." He tensed, and his eyes closed as he breathed in deeply. When they opened they seemed to glow with a golden light, and his voice echoed through the trees, "she's here."

Pan's POV

I could feel her presence n my island like a parasite sucking the life and hope out of everyone on it. And then there was another shift. Something much more familiar.

I clenched my hand around the arrow just before it pierced my heart.

A rage flowed through me as I looked up at Felicity. Before I could execute the traitor, however, the silence was broken by a gasp, and I turned as Kate stared in shock at the arrow embedded in her stomach. Her eyes were clouded with pain and surprise. She gingerly prodded the growing stain on her shirt with her hands, bringing them away a dark red.She looked up at me, her fear showing plainly on her face for the first time in a very long time. I caught her as her knees buckled and held her in my lap. With a wave of my hand, the arrow disappeared and the blood cleared. The wound closed up, but there was no denying the lines of black that already began to crawl towards her heart. I looked back up at the scrawny girl whose hand had done this, and she cowered at the murder in my eyes. I fought to control myself as I spoke slowly, lethally, "Do you have any idea what you've done?"

She was crying, "Please, I'm sorry! She threatened to kill my family." I advanced slowly towards her, and she began to panic. Looking for Felix for help, she begged, "Felix! Felix, please tell him I had no choice!" He stared at her in silence, a look of apathy written across his face and I smirked. Felix was by far my most loyal lost boy. This girl's betrayal had destroyed whatever they had. "Felix, please!" she grabbed his arm, and he shrugged her off, knocking her to the ground. She gasped, "I... I love you. I thought you loved me." He laughed and rolled his eyes, muttering, "pitiful." She was sobbing now, begging for her life. With a sharp gesture, I sent her flying into a tree. An audible snap echoed through the clearing and silence enclosed like a wall around the clearing.

I turned my back on the unmoving figure, and crouched next to Kate, who was pale and shaking. the poison was already dangerously close to her heart. I'd never seen it travel this quickly before.
