Yay! wifi! I fixed the update, and I would advise those of you who already read it to read it again, as it will probably make more sense.

I watched as Aaron struggled for breath. “Wh-what do you want from me?” he stuttered. “Simple. I want you to help me find someone. A girl that the woman you’re working for took from me.” I paced the ship, tossing his heart back and forth between my hands.

“You’re Peter Pan.” He gasped at me, nodding.

I held my hands out, “What gave it away?” I was mocking him, and I was enjoying it thoroughly. It had been too long since I’d done anything like this. “Kate…” he said, “She… she told me about you.” Suddenly I was in his face, I put pressure on his heart just enough to make him cry out.  “Where is she?” I hissed at him.

“I- I can take you to her. Please, I’m her friend.”

I almost dropped his heart. “What do you mean friend?”

“I was supposed to be her guard, but we just ended up talking. I don’t know what Sloane’s doing with her, but it can’t be good. Now really, we don’t have much time. If you want to find her, follow me.”

“And, do tell me, why should I trust you?”

“You don’t… have a choice.”

“Oh, but I do. You see, I could just crush your heart. Right here. Right now. I don’t really need your help to find her.” “Yes, but if you trust me… there’s a risk… and don’t tell me that that… doesn’t… interest you.”

“Well,” I said, “You certainly know how to play the game.”

I shoved his heart back into his chest, and pulled him to his feet by his shirt collar.

“Lead the way.”

Kate’s POV

“I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about!” I cried for what seemed like the hundredth time. I seemed to have lost the ability to stand, and my bleeding, burned, and bruised legs were curled under me, as I lay on the floor.

“Well maybe I can spike your memory.”

Once again, she lashed out. By now I barely even felt the pain. There was just so much.

“My step mother abused me and my father’s a drunk!” I cried, “Is that what you wanted? Because it’s really not a secret.” “Oh, please.” She scoffed at me, “Child, I’m not interested in your depressing and horrible tale of your wicked stepmother. I want to know the one thing you haven’t told anyone. The secret you buried deep within the corners of your mind, the one you tried to remove from your memory. I need it.

“I don’t know” I screamed. As I felt her strike me yet again, I could sense the world slipping away from me. Blackness tinged the edges of my vision.

“Well you’d better remember soon.”

“Why? Why do you need something even I can’t remember?”

She lashed out at me once again. “I don’t remember saying you could ask questions.”

And then a voice spoke, and it didn’t come from Sloane or me.

“Well I for one don’t remember saying you had permission to take Kate.”

“Peter,” I gasped. And then everything went black.

Peter’s POV

Aaron led me down through the ships. He seemed to know the layout well, and we made our way through the rooms without being noticed or interrupted. I could sense Kate near me, but something was wrong. I could feel her fear, and I swore, if Sloane was hurting her, she would pay. We walked quickly and quietly before he paused before a door. I didn’t even have to ask if she was in there. I knew she was there.
