Do you know what it's like to watch someone you love with all of your heart in immense pain right next to you and there isn't a single thing that you could do to ease their suffering? So the only thing you can do is watch them slowly suffer while you chew on the inside of your own cheek until there is blood dancing on your tongue. It isn't like that with her. She screams out in pain but laughs right after the scream escapes her lips and smiles with bright eyes, says everything is going to be alright even if you know that she'll be different after this. Nothing stays the same forever not even her.

"HURRY UP I'M DYING OVER HERE!" He sneaks a side snarl at me he doesn't think I'm very funny but I laugh to cover up my pain but it doesn't hold back the screams anymore. "I'm kidding Night learn to live a little I'm the one who might die." I say with a smile but he takes his hand from the wheel and sucker punches me in my other arm, I hiss at him and he chuckles.

"You may laugh in the face of Death but I won't I've met him and he's scary as hell." I laugh now even after Night has been a guard over me for many years in the heart of hell he still finds Oliver scarier. "Don't get me wrong your dad is pretty terrifying also but there is just something about Death that frightens me." I smile because I understand, I too saw the darkness in Death's eyes when he peered into my soul the first time we met.

"There should be a hospital or a clinic around here somewhere Night." I grind my teeth against each other in the hopes of taking my mind off of the poison flowing around my arm right now. The poison seems to have a mind of its own as I feel it pulse with life sliding down my bloodstream. My eyes open wide as a bright blinding light flashes and I get a glimpse of someone familiar with a warm smile and open arms.

"HEY! WAKE UP! YOU CAN'T BE DOING THAT FIRE! We're almost there I swear Fire." I shut my eyes and hope that for once he is right and I am wrong.

With her eyes closed it scares me and makes me wonder if she is finally dead but I remember an immortal can't die unless killed by another and then I gasp. The hydra head that bit Fire was immortal, she could actually die before she gets anywhere near New York. My foot presses harder on the gas pedal and revs the engine causing us to speed up closer to rescue.

"Where am I?" I stretch out my hand and see light shinning through my hand and straight into my eyes. "No." I rise with ease and kind of float away from where ever I am.

"Doctor the poison is spreading to her heart." I hover there away from the doctors and nurses working to save me but the only thing I can look at his the horror on his face.

"Night." I raise my hand and hold it there against his on the glass but mine seems to go through the glass and straight though his hand. He shivers when I fall and pass between the wall and him. His eyes are red from crying and his fists bloody from probably pounding on something. He stands there for a minute longer then goes away from the window and I follow him.

"Fire, are you ready?" The voice is sad and familiar and I know it is Oliver coming to take me. I turn to face him sigh then flip him the bird.

"Piss off. I'm not dying today tell my dad I'll see him soon enough." I continue to follow Night when someone grabs my shoulder and turns me to face them.

"This is your decision to make Fire and you must make it alone."

"I'm not going to let myself die Oliver not without saying goodbye at least."

"If that is all then go and make it quick, Rose is making enchiladas tonight." I nod and continue onward toward Night, I eventually find him in a small janitor's closet kneeling in front of a wooden cross mumbling something.
