Countless songs later of poppy garbage Night and I both agree on a radio station playing a Linkin Park song, I sing along under my breath as he hums. It is awkward, this silence between us, it weighs on me and makes me uncomfortable. He must pick up on it because he shivers with chills and looks at me from the corner of his eye.

"So."

"So." He takes his eyes off of the dead road and places them on me. He smiles when I notice him watching me, my heart hiccups at the sight of his dimples. I want to smack myself in the face, I can't let him affect me anymore, I have to distance myself from him.

"I'm kind of hungry and there's a Taco Bell coming up in about," we pass a blue sign that tells us where the nearest food is located. Taco Bell is not on it. "Never. But there is a Jack in the Box, and I really want some tacos." My mouth salivates at the mention of tacos, I nod my head to keep the drool from spilling out. "Alright then." Pushing me away plays on the radio as we continue to drive in silence.

"I'll take and order of 99 cent tacos, an order of egg rolls and a whopper." I snicker at the mention of a rivalry sandwich said by Night. I don't really know if he meant to say it or it just slipped out unintentionally.

"Sir, this is Jack in the Box."

"You can't get a whopper here?" His voice sounds sad and confused but his eyes sparkle with mischief, he turns and looks at me and then smiles, it makes my stomach flip.

"I'll take a strawberry shake, a large fry, curly, and two tacos."

"What size?" The girl at the counter eyes Night and it makes me want to punch her in the teeth, but I just nod and smile.

"What?"

"What size do you want for the shake?" She grits her teeth when she speaks to me but smiles when she looks at Night, I watch her watch me. When she notices me watching her, she leans over the counter and pushes her boobs together and smiles at Night then at me.

"Large please." I grab Night's arm, pull him close to me, and then smash his mouth against mine. His teeth bite down on my lip making it gush blood, I gasp and push back. The girl looks shocked as I see us in her eyes, my hair a tangled mess and my lip bloody, I look like a wreck, while Night, well he looks a little dazed. I back away from the counter and let Night pay only because I don't have any money, my legs wobble toward a table and collapse when my but hits the chair.

"What. What was that?" His lips are red, covered in my blood. He looks back at the counter to where the girl was standing and flashing her boobs.

"Sorry. I saw the way she was looking at you," my eyes dart toward the counter where she stands again, except this time she is hunched over my shake. I won't drink it now that it looks like she just spit in it. Night sits across from me and smiles to himself, he wanted that kiss as much as I did.

"Here's your order, have a nice night." The girl sits our tray down in front of us and as much as I want to strike out and sink my teeth into those greasy tacos, I don't.

"Can you take back the shake, I really don't know why I ordered it." I smile up at her as she fumes with anger, but she smiles and takes the shake back without hesitation.

"Why did you do that?" I rear up my top lip and snarl at her as she walks back toward her counter defeated. "I paid for that."

"And who pays you?" He shuts up but I smile. "She spit in it, but don't worry I'll get another one, and I'll get one for you too."

"But you don't have any money."

"Just shut up and watch." I stand proud and ooze excitement, I march right up to the counter and slam my hand down on the counter startling the other couple in the dining area. "Excuse me, I would like to speak to the manager." The girl who took our order looks at me with her big brown eyes dripping with fear, her chest starts to shake and I realize her name is Sally, figures.
