I know better now than to fall for a guard or a mortal boy at the least. I believed him, believed that he wanted to keep me safe but he lied. He sent Daye to bash in my skull to 'keep me safe,' such utter bull shit. I know better now.

Nothing is going to stop me now, I'm leaving. I have to find my mother and ask her about this damn prophecy, I run as fast as my long legs can take me, stopping by my room, grabbing my bags and suit cases and hauling them to the lot. I grab some money from my dad's office snagging the picture of my mom before heading to the lot.

The elevator doors open lighting the garage and bringing the vehicles to life. My baby stands out among the rest, I run/bounce with my bags trailing behind me over to the car. I pop the trunk and toss everything in.

"It's pretty lonely to be traveling alone Miss Fire." No one calls me Miss except for one person, the Gate Keeper. The Gate Keeper is an old, old, old, OLD man who my dad came across one day and offered him room and food for the price that he be a loyal subject to my father, meaning hand over the soul and you get to stay here forever. The Gate Keeper looks at me with his milky white blind eyes and smile a toothless grin.

"I'm not in the mood Keeper." I huff and jog over to the drivers side, the Gate Keeper sits on the hood looking out away from the cars.

"Aye, I can see. Well not really," he smiles and turns back at me. "Your precious guard has betrayed ye." He laughs but it sounds like air passing though his teeth, "they're on their way. Didn't lock the door did ye?"

"Shit. I knew I forgot to do something." I hop into the car and start the ignition but it won't turn over. "Damn thing," I growl as I pound on the steering wheel. I tear the key out of the ignition and try to start it again, "come on baby." Nothing.

"They're coming up the elevator Miss Fire, Five. . ."

I jump out of the car leaving the keys where they are.

"Four. . . "

There's no time, can't pop the trunk to get my clothes, I snatch the photo.

"Three. . ."

Money in my pocket I sprint, I am no where near as fast as Night and Daye but I have a head start.

"Two. . ."

The Gate Keeper says keeping pace with me, my feet travel fast but not as fast as my car could have.

"One." The door bursts open, they call my name thinking that I will answer, as if we we're playing Marco, Polo. But there is no stopping me.

"There she is!" Daye screams. I hear their feet slapping the pavement with every step they take. My breath is ragged making me have to force them out, I'm really out of shape but I've found my rhythm.

"They're closing in on you Miss Fire," I swat away the ghostly outline of the Gate Keeper and run on.

"FIRE STOP!" It breaks my heart to hear him yell out for me, I light up and hurl fire balls behind me as I run. They scream behind me and then I hear the slam of their bodies hitting the ground as they jumped to dodge the fire.

"Good bye boys." I push on the toward the ramp out, getting extremely close. They groan in frustration behind me but it sounds like the roar of lions because of the echo. Twenty yards from the ramp souls start popping up out of nowhere. Young, old and some kickers; those refusing to accept that they are dead, they look like they are still alive but the distinct thing is that they have no eyes. Eyes being the window to the soul, no soul no eyes.

"Where am I," I stop in my tracks, I know that voice. I briskly turn and I am met by the ocean eyes of my brother, Elijah. I scream, he can't truly be dead. The day that bitch nymph attacked us I told Luna that Elijah had died, a ruse to keep him away from her, he really did love her. We sent Elijah away to keep him safe. Poseidon my bastard uncle sent that nymph as a warning to my dad, apparently dad had a debt with my uncle that was over due, so Poseidon acted on impulse, as usual. He sent nymphs all over the world, searching the surface and sea for my father until one got lucky and found us. Lollygagging with mortals. The nymph pounced going for Luna, my concentration broken Elijah jumped in saving her. But now he really is dead.
