The room is dark and smells like musk and rain water, I hear the sound of chains being dragged across the floor. I lift my head from the ground and feel weightless, my head feels light and my shoulder's bare which is strange because my hair weighs at least five pounds. I try to raise my hands to reach for my hair but my hands don't obey. My throat is sore as if I've been screaming for hours, my head hums with pain, and my eyes burn as if they've been dunked in acid.
"Chaos." My name sounds foreign to me coming from his mouth, I nod my head at the sound and drift in and out of conscience.
"Where am I? What. . . what is going on?" The chains sound off again and I think I feel his arms wrap around me and pull me close to him. "Daye what happened?" I want to wrap my arms around him and snuggle into him but my arms only twitch at the thought of touching him. I try to reach up for him and lay my hands on his bare torso, "where is your shirt?" I try to raise my hand and run my fingers over his body, I pull my fingers away and think that they feel wet and sticky. "Are you bleeding?" I barely feel his hand move from around me and run his own hand on his stomach, he pulls them away dripping blood.
"What happened to us? What happened to you? And why aren't you answering me?" He drops his hands from around my body and reaches for my head. I will my hand to strike out and stop him before he can touch me. I scream but nothing comes out of my mouth which throws me into a shaking mess.
The roar blasts from the corner and knocks me over away from Daye, the roar shatters the chains and I hear a laugh. "She'll be here soon." As soon as the words come out of his mouth the door swings open and in storms Luna. She looks pretty if her face wasn't contorted by the huge smile on her face, she stomps over to Daye and snatches him away from me.
"Chain them up again, this time make the chains stronger. Leave the girl, I need to speak with her. Bring her to my office." I hear the sound of chains being dragged and Daye screaming for me but it sounds so far away it makes my head swim. I am tugged up from the floor and thrown over a shoulder, my head bobs with each step and makes my stomach sick.
"I need to puke." I am dropped like unwanted trash and my arm hits the ground first, on impact I spew out vomit; drenching myself, it ricochets and lands on screaming girls. "Sorry," I mumble before I am stripped of my clothes leaving me only with my underwear and bra. My skin crawls with the coolness in Luna's home, someone drags me the rest of the way to her office. Whoever they are picks me up then tosses me into a chair, I let my body sag into the chair and wait.
"Chaos, how do you feel?" It actually sounds like she cares and it makes me want to puke all over her. Her steps echo on the tile floor as she comes closer, her hands are cold as she runs them over my head. She lifts an eyelid and waves a light across my face, I don't have the strength to ward her off so I just sit there sick. "Do you remember anything?" I can hear the smile in her voice which makes me open my eyes. She stands against her desk watching me watch her, she smiles as I stare.
"No, nothing." As I say the words she waves her hands and I feel pain, nothing but pain and it is suffocating me. My eyes go dim as I sit there and she makes me relive it all.
"Make her scream!" Luna shouts over my cries of pain all I hear is laughter. Her laughing drowns out my screams which turn into laughter, first they shave my head no hair left to hide behind. "What a waste," she says as she picks up a few strands of my blue hair and stuffs it into her pocket. "MORE POWER!" She screeches out to her lackeys, they connect loose wires to my hands that give a little shock as they touch me.
"You'll have to try harder than that," I say rushed. My shoulders sag as she comes near, her breath is hot and sour as she leans over my body on a cold slab and laughs in my face.
