"Let the civilians go and we don't have to fight." You warn the villain in front of you, still clinging to multiple people with his tentacles. You think you heard heroes say something like that on TV. This was new to you, only having fought villains with pros guiding you.
"This could have been avoided but the old man just wouldn't give us the money." The villain explained with a smirk, squeezing the tentacle around who you guessed is the store owner. He was a little old man, in a white button up shirt and brown knit sweater. He was pleading with the villain to let him go. Your flames burned brighter seeing how heartless these villains were to harm and humiliate a poor old man along with innocent people.
"I'll ask one last time. Let them go!" You demanded, raising your right hand offensively towards him.
"Ain't it passed your bedtime kid. Don't try to be a hero." The villain said to you, standing his ground with a wide grin.
You took a step forward and released flames from your hand towards him. He gathered the hostages in front of him as a shield.
"I told you kid you- What the fuck?!" He laughed and was about to say something else but stopped himself when you maneuvered your flame up and over the civilians and right onto him. He was sent flying back and quickly released the people.
"Are you all alright? If you can walk please clear the sea and head to the medics." You said as you walked over to freed hostages and assisted those that couldn't walk before heading to the entrance of the convenience store where the other villain was.
"Alright dude i'm do-" The telekinetic villain said but didn't get to finish when he saw you weren't his partner.
"Just return what you took and this can all be over." You warned him, wanting to end this quickly. You took this moment to glance back at your father who was still just standing behind the crowded civilians and analysing you.
"Mind your business kid." The telekinetic villain said and decided to use your distraction to use his power to lift some cans and bottles that fell from his earlier ransacking into the air and send them flying to you.
As you dodged his attacks he would bring them back and continued attacking you with them. If he's using bottles of energy drinks and cans of soda to attack out of everything around then his power must not be that strong. With that you held up your hand and focused your energy on the liquid inside the bottles and cans, stopping them right in front of you.
The look of surprise evident in the villains face as you two battled back and forth with the drinks midair. You grew tired and clenched your fist, causing intense pressure inside the bottles until they exploded. He stops for a moment before trying to run but you quickly stop him by shooting a flame in his way. You gathered the liquid that came out of the bottles and cans from earlier in the air before forming a whip around his leg and forcefully pulling him to you, causing him to fall. Then you spread the liquid around his torso and froze it so he stayed in place for the police to arrive.
Turning around when you were finished, the crowd of civilians cheered and thanked you as you made your way next to your father, and although you smiled at them, all you could think about was what your father was thinking.
When you stood next to him he began walking and you followed.
"That took too long." He spoke after a while of patrolling around the town. "I hope you don't hesitate if Shoto were ever in trouble." He adds, still not even looking at you.
"Of course not." You replied, looking down at the ground.
The rest of the night was spent fighting amateur villains and your father scrutinizing everything he thought you did wrong. Around 3am you began to feel the pain in your stomach since you hadn't eaten all day. About an hour later, your father called a quits and you made it back to your house.
Before your father went straight to his room he told you to be ready by 9am for more training. You didn't know whether to stuff your face or just pass out as soon as you lay in bed. Choosing to eat something before bed, you head to the kitchen and open the fridge door, and your eyes are drawn to an orange.
Staring at it for a moment and then reaching for it. Memories of UA flashed in your head, specifically Bakugou. It hasn't even been a whole day yet and you already miss school more than you thought you would.
You ate the orange and a few other small snacks you found in the fridge, the ache in your stomach barely going away. Letting out a tired sigh, you got ready for bed and drafted off to sleep as soon as you got into bed, uncomfortable restless sleep.
Waking up at 8 in the morning, your eyes still burned with sleep as you laid in bed for a couple minutes just staring at the ceiling. You got ready for training and made your way into the kitchen, making sure to eat something this time since you don't know when you'll be done.
"Hey Y/n, you're up early." Fuyumi comments as she sees you walk into the kitchen while she is cooking something on the stove.
"Yeah, I have training with father in a bit." You told her, opening the fridge and looking for something to eat.
"I can make you something if you want? I usually make food for Dad anyways." She says with a smile, pulling out two plates from the cabinets when you nod to her.
You sat down at the kitchen table and patiently waited for Fuyumi to make you breakfast. Your father entered the kitchen a couple minutes later, right as she finished and sat across from you. Breakfast was awkward to say the least. The food was amazing but the room was silent and filled with so much tension.
"Alright lets go." Your father said once he finished eating and walking into the backyard, not even letting you finish your breakfast so you scarfed down as much as you could before getting up and following him. Your house had a training area in the back of the house that you hadn't used in a while since you started at UA, but was frequently used when you were young.
~Several Hours Later~
"Why are you holding back!" Your father yelled at you while you attempted to catch your breath from the excessive amount of training that he was making you do. "I've seen what you can do, so don't act like you can't." He continued. You know exactly what he wants but you've been using your flames and water already so your body is exhausted.
"I told you I don't know how to control it." You spoke in between pants, hands resting on your knees as you took deep breaths.
"And I told you to do something so you better do it. Now." He says, crossing his arms and standing up straighter to intimidate you. You tried to look up at him but the throbbing in your head got worse once the Sun got in your eyes.
"I don't think I can." You admitted, looking back down at the ground.
"You shouldn't try to make me angrier than I already am with you." He began, take a step closer to you. "You pick a fight at school." He takes another step. "Then one of your 'nobody classmates' tries to lecture me." He takes another step forward. "Now you won't follow my simple instructions?" He's standing right over you now. The flames around him grow hotter signaling his anger towards you. "Come to think of it, I do recognize that boy from the sports festival." He spoke in an uncomfortably soft tone, your heart dropped to your stomach, just hoping he doesn't turn this on Bakugou. "I also remember getting upset at you then too. Is that a coincidence, or should I be worried about what you're doing outside my supervision?" He questioned you, the intimidation back in his voice as you slowly stood up and looked at him.
"No, you don't have to worry." You answered, trying to keep your response short as to not appear to being lying or give anything away.
"You're lying." He replied quickly and dryly. Your eyes widen but you quickly try to hide your surprise.
"N-No I'm not. I promise there is nothing to be concerned about. There is nothing going on between us." You replied.
"I never said there was something going on between you two. You just did." His eyebrows furrowed and his glare deepened as you stood there in shock. Your mouth opened and closed, trying to find the best words to say but nothing came out. "Maybe I should have...a word...with this boy if he's causing this kind of trouble." The tone behind his words made you feel uneasy, all you could do was shake your head in protest. "Then you better do what I ask of you next time." He said, just glaring at you for a moment, letting the words sink in before stepping away. "We're done for today." He threatened before walking back inside the house.
Fuck! He knows!
