What should you do now!? Would he actually do anything to Bakugou!? He said he'd 'have a word' with him but what does that even mean??? You know your father doesn't handle anything with words so it could only have been a threat right!?

All these thoughts were racing in your head as you paced back and forth in your room, still thinking about your earlier interaction even a couple hours later. Your fingers were tangled in your hair at this point, having this pit in your stomach thinking about what your father could possibly do to Bakugou since you opened your stupid mouth earlier.

"Y/n." Fuyumi says outside your bedroom door as she knocks gently. "Can I come in?" She asks softly.

"Yeah. Yeah come in." You answered quickly, standing up and dragging your hands down your face, trying to reset your expression to face her. She opens the door and closes it right behind her after she steps in. You can see she's holding something behind back. She slowly reveals what she has hidden and to your surprise it's your cellphone.

"I was able to take it from Dad's desk. As long as it's back where he left it when he comes back from patrolling then he won't find out. It can be our little secret." She explained, giving you an excited smile. You looked at her kind face and then down to your cellphone.

You could try to warn Bakugou that your father knows there was something going on but he's probably furious with you right now. Or you could message Shoto to keep an eye out, but you don't want to worry him. It's not his problem after all. Maybe it's for the best that you don't have your phone, your friends should be busy with school work and training to talk to you anyway.

"Thanks Fuyumi, but it's ok. I don't want you to get in trouble and I wouldn't want to use it anyway." You replied to her, trying to copy her kind smile.

"Oh, ok. If that's what you think is best." She says, with a disappointed look on her face. She's worried that all the character building you achieved at school might have been set back after just a couple days with your father. "Hey. I'm going to go grocery shopping in a bit. Wanna tag along?" She asked, trying to lighten the awkward mood.

"Um. I'll pass this time. I was thinking about training some more before father gets back. Maybe next time." You answer her, not wanting to turn her down but not feeling like leaving the house either.

"Alright. Just...You can talk to me if you need anything, ok?" She said hesitantly, getting up to leave your room, giving you a worried smile before closing the door on her way out.

After Fuyumi left to the store, you decided to be true to your word and head back outside to the training area to practice before your father came back. If you did what he wanted, then maybe he'd leave Bakugou out of this, right?

~Several Hours Later~

"Ugh! Why isn't it working?!" You let out an exhausted yell, another fire ball leaving your hand instead of the bolt of blue lightning you've been trying to make. That time your father was pressuring you, it happened out of nowhere it seemed, you didn't know how to replicate it.

Taking a moment to catch your breath, you let your tired arms fall to your sides and you tilt your head up, closing your eyes as you breathe in deeply through your nose. You open your eyes after a moment of steady breathing and notice the beautiful multicolor sky as the Sun is starting to set. The orange color of the sky reminds you of the orange on Bakugou's costume.

Bakugou. He probably wants absolutely nothing to do with me but here you are, not being able to keep him out of your mind. You have to do this, or else your father will...well you're not really sure what he'd do exactly but it couldn't be anything good. He could ruin Bakugou's chances of becoming a hero, complaining to UA directly, or even 'having a word' with his parents. Either way it's not good. So I have to do this. I have to get this right.

You shut your eyes again, tightly this time, trying to relax your hands and keeping them open instead of balling them into fists like you have been doing. Reaching your hands up to the sky, your thoughts repeat in your head. You have to do this. You have to do this. You bring your hands back down, crouching slightly and pulling them against your core, trying to build up your strength. You need to do this. You need to do this. You snap your eyes open, after you feel that familiar sensation of tingles rushing through your arms into your hands. Taking a big step forward and grunting slightly as you roughly pushed your hands away from you, aiming them towards a nearby wall where a blue lightning bolt landed after leaving your fingertips.

You did it. You actually did it! A soft smile formed on your face as you saw the slight burn on the wall while letting out a long sigh.

"Good." You heard your father's rough voice come from behind you. Startled, you turn around to find him leaning slightly against the doorframe of the house, having watched your move just now. "You've gotten over your...feelings. Now we can continue." He continues, making his way over to you with a grin you can only describe as evil.

After that day, the 2 weeks that followed, before Shoto came back and the semester ended at UA, were spent working you to the bone. Patrolling with your father at ungodly hours of the morning and training for most of the day that followed. Not just the regular training that you were used to either, but trying to control your lightning, emphasis on trying.

Today was the last of classes at UA so Shoto was coming home later today so your father ended training early. He obviously threatened you slightly before leaving to god knows where. You spent the rest of your free day helping Fuyumi clean the house for Shoto's arrival.

"Oh Y/n, I forgot." Fuyumi said after you both finished cleaning up the house. "Dad said you can officially have this back." She pulled your phone from her pocket and handed it to you. "I charged it for you already. I guess that means you're not grounded anymore." She laughed lightly. You looked at the lock screen of your phone and found a single text notification from your father.

'Don't forget yourself again.' -10 minutes ago

"Yup." You said with a sigh and forced smile back up at her, trying to hide the uneasiness of his message and the hurt from the lack of other notifications from your friends or even your brother.

You decided to try to take a nap in your room. The lack of sleep was obviously getting to you but even when you had the time during the day to catch up on your sleep, you just couldn't. Since it was obvious you weren't getting any sleep, you decided to read a book you haven't gotten to finish.

It was a murder mystery book that you really enjoyed but were just too busy to finish. You were very quickly pulled into it and time slipped away. You were awoken from your trance by a car pulling up into the driveway. You put the book down, not knowing if it was your brother coming home or your Father so you waited to hear Fuyumi greet them.

"Shoto! I'm so glad you're home." You heard your sister greet Shoto as he stepped through the door. Hearing that it was your brother and not your father you got up from your bed and exited your room to greet Shoto as well.

"Hey. I can help with some of your bags." You greeted him rather dryly since you were still a little hurt that he didn't even try to text you this whole time but still wanted to be nice.

"No Y/n it's alright." He said, looking around slightly. "Father isn't home right?" He asked. He was acting very strange, what was he looking for?

"No he's not." You replied, giving him a confused look but deciding to ignore it. "Here I don't mind helping." You say as you try to take his backpack from his hands. "No. It's fine. Just go to your room Y/n." He told you, pulling his backpack out of your reach.

"What? Why?" You asked, now very concerned about why he's acting so weird.

"I'll tell you later just go. Please." He said to you with a serious expression. You gave him a look but just sighed and did as he said.

You walked inside the house while he allowed Fuyumi to help him carry his things inside and made your way to your room. Did you do something to upset him and that's why he's acting this way towards you? Did you embarrass him by getting suspended?

A sigh escaped your lips as you mentally counted off things you could've done to make Shoto upset with you. Then you opened the door to your room and took a step inside, just a singular step before being startled by the presence of someone in your room.

"Bakugou?"
