It's been a super long time since I last updated, but I'm back now and I try to update more often. I also edited a few of the parts in this book so you might wanna go back and re-read just to understand.

We got into our chariots, the newer tributes would go first, followed by the older tributes/victors. So after us the old victors of district 1, 2, etc. would follow. Katniss and Peeta would be the absolute last people to come out. We didn't even get to see them before our chariots started moving.
"Ready?" Gale asks.
"As I'll ever be." I reply quietly.
The same blinding lights and cheering as last year hit me, I had never gotten used to it.
I didn't wave at the crowd, I didn't even smile. I started blankly at the capital citizens.
We stopped in a circle and the two other people from our districts joined us.
"Behold, the tributes of the 75th anual Hunger Games." Snow says. I stare up at him, he catches my glimpse and gives me a look.

"That was amazing you guys!" Effie beams as we meet up with her and our prep teams.
"I just want to sleep." I say.
"After supper." She says placing her hands on my shoulders and guiding me to the elevator.
Phoebe and Brandon were already in the elevator when we got there.
Katniss stood beside me and poked me a bit.
"Adrienne better still be there." Phoebe says quietly. She looked at me and flashed a small smile. She got off the elevator seconds after, hand in hand with Brandon.
"Why didn't you talk to her?" Katniss asks.
I shrug, "I'm waiting."
We got off the elevator and headed towards the penthouse. Effie unlocked it and showed us our rooms, they had upgraded the place since last year.
Supper was already on the table.
"Oh lookie here!" Effie exclaims.
We all sat down at the table and started eating.
"So, alliances?" Haymitch asks.
"No." Katniss says.
"Look, there's twice as many tributes this year. You're not going to survive if you don't have alliances." He replies.
I take a sip of my water, "I just don't want to see people I care about die again."
"That's valid." Peeta adds.
"Having no alliances puts you all higher up on their radar." Haymitch says.
"That's true." Gale adds, "I personally think it would be a good idea."
"Maybe you guys should scout some potential alliance members out during training tomorrow." Effie suggests.
"I agree." Haymitch adds.

When I woke up the next morning there was a pair of black athletic shorts, as well as a black tank top that had a criss cross back and athletic shoes, on the end of my bed. I pull my hair into a ponytail and put everything on.
We ate breakfast quickly before we left for training.
"Who are possible alliance members?" Gale asks in the elevator.
"I like Samantha from 3." I say.
"How about we choose from victors." Peeta says.
"Who's to say the won't kill us in our sleep?" I ask.
"Who's to say that the new tributes won't do the same?" Peeta replies.
The elevator stopped at 3 and Samantha and the other tributes joined us in the elevator, she waved at me.
Once we got to the training center we piled out of the elevator and looked around.
"What stations?" Katniss asks.
"I don't know about you but I want to work on my knife throwing." I say walking to the knife throwing station.
"Okay but also focus on other types of training." Peeta adds
Everybody made our separate ways.
My eye caught Phoebe throwing a knife at a target.
"It's all in the wrists." She says throwing another.
"I'm sorry if I bothered you." I say.
"Hey, you're Elsa." Brandon says approaching me, "from 12. You won last year?"
I nod, "that's me."
"What's your weapon of choice?" Phoebe asks.
"Knives, sword, bow. I'm not picky." I reply.
"How good is your aim?" She asks.
"It's alright." I reply.
Brandon grabs a knife and hands it to me.
"Throw it." Phoebe says.
"What?"
"Throw it."
I'm hesitant but get into my stance to throw the knife.
"Imagine that's snow." She growls quietly in my ear, "and if you hit him right, you're free."
I throw the knife and it hits the middle.
"Bullseye." Brandon whispers.
"I'd say your aim was better than alright." Phoebe replies crossing her arms.
I smile shyly. Brandon and Phoebe exchanged a look which made me nervous. Do I really wanna show off my talent to these people? They seemed safe though. Like Christmas when you would sit in front of the fire with a blanket wrapped around your shoulders and everything was quiet. You could hear the crackling of the fire on the wood.
"Woah." Brandon whispered. Our attention was directed to an enclosed area with animated people. Katniss was in there shooting arrows. Tributes had started gathering around to watch her so we joined the crowd.
