Want to meet up?

When/Where

Michael and I'd been texting for about a week or more. We hadn't seen each other seen each other since the day at the park. I really wanted to see him though and i was hoping he felt the same.

We met at the same park. We sat on the swings and began talking about our likes and dislikes and other random things about us. I liked the sunsets because of the different greys and he liked the various pinks and purples. He made color sound magical.

"So, how long ago did you know you were gay?" I asked swinging past him. "Well, since i'm 19 now... about two years ago." He smiled, "and you?" I looked at him, "i told you, i'm straight. Boobs and vaginas all the way." He managed to fall off the swing while he was laughing. I jumped off the swing and kneeled by his side to make sure he was alright. As i made sure he was alright he laid his hand on mine. "Your eyes are such a beautiful shade blue, Luke." He stared into them, but i turned my head quickly as my heart race began to increase.

I'd always wanted to know what color my eyes were. Blue. It sounded amazing. I really want to see color.

"Thanks." I said calmly, "are you sure your okay? Do you want me to take you home?" He got up as fast as he could and made his way back to the swings. "Are you coming?" He smiled and began swinging. Sighing, i made my way over to him.

"You know, you never answered my question truthfully." He said. "when i was thirteen (i had my first love). I had a huge crush on calum." I looked up at the sky waiting for his reply. "You mean the guy from the park?" I nodded my head. "Oh." He said quietly. "I think you guys would be cute together." I said breaking the silence. "You'd be Malum." He laughed, "not my type... What's our name?" I chuckled a little, "muke." He laughed, "that sounds like puke."

"Luke, do you want to see color?" He said calmly. "Who wouldn't?" I said a quietly looking at my feet . He smiled at me. "I can show you how."

I'd never thought of seeing color as something you can be shown.

"Really?" I hid my excitement. "Why not." He shrugged, "it'll take some time though." I smiled widely.

I had finally noticed that michael had began to have an effect on me. He made me smile and made my heart beat fast. He was just wonderful. I didn't think it was because i liked him. He was just wonderful in a non-lovey-dovey way.

"Well," he said getting off the swing, "it's getting late. We should probably get going." I looked at my phone to see it was already one in the morning. "Uh, can i stay at your place? My family is a bit annoying and i don't want them asking questions."

"Sure." He smiled. We got in my car and rode to his house. It wasn't far from the park and we probably could have walked, but i didn't want to leave my car there overnight. We parked in his driveway and he opened the door.

I looked around. The house was small. It had pictures of him and his family. It looked like he loved them all so much. It was nice to think that michael cared so dearly about his family.

"Why don't you live with your parents?" I asked. He looked around at the photos, "when they found out i could see color, they pretty much disowned me." I didn't know what to say so for a few minutes we sat in silence.

"About what you said earlier-- about me seeing color-- were you serious." I looked at him and he looked at me, "why would i lie about that, Luke? It's obvious you want to see color." He stood up and made his way to a closet and pulled out a blanket and pillow.

"Are you sleeping in my room or on the couch? I assure you my bed is far more comfortable." I laughed a little, "i guess in your room."

We lied on the bed facing eachother. I stared at him while he attempted to sleep. It was three in the morning and the last words i muttered before i close my eyes were, "i don't know what color your eyes are, but i bet they're beautiful."

When i woke up, michael and i were spooning. I don't know what happened that made us think spooning was a good idea, but it did feel nice. it wasn't sexual it was just nice. I got up and began to go to the bathroom when Michael muttered, "this isn't a one night stand is it?" He raised an eyebrow, but both of his eyes were still closed.

"Nope, just looking for the bathroom." I smiled. "Down the hall to the right." I began making my way to the bathroom. I accidentally opened the wrong door and all i could see were paintings. They were everywhere.

I walked in quietly and began to run my hands over the paintings. The texture was smooth and bumpy at the same time.

We didn't have art in school because what's the use of having art if you can only see black, white, and various greys.

"Luke," he appeared in the doorway, "what're you doing in here?" I began to think of excuses, but decided the truth was the best way to go. "I'm sorry, i just saw the door was opened and it looked... I don't know what it looked like. All i know is that it was art and i haven't seen art in along time."

"Sorry... It's just no one was supposed to see these." He said as he turned as many of them as he could around. We walk out of the room and i apologize again. "It's fine, just don't go in there again please." I nodded and grabbed his hand and we made our way back to his bedroom.
