"I see... so we have Shiina-san with us. Ichinose-san has Kaneda-kun, and class D has Ibuki-san. It's not like this is particularly surprising, but confirming that Shiina-san is only here for reconnaissance is still not a good thing." Katsuragi said, making notes in his notepad. He did this for the last meeting as well, summarizing the talking points.
After returning to camp and questioning Katsuragi's fashion, or lack of a shirt at least, we rounded up Hashimoto and Kamuro for another meeting between factions. We didn't have as much to go over this time, but Ryuuen's spies in each class were definitely worthy of a discussion.
"I'd say this is a good thing, no? Just let class C guess the leaders of the other classes, and we keep Shiina-san here at all costs. Not a big deal, right?" Hashimoto said.
"That's quite rich coming from the person that took Shiina outside of the camp today." I told him, which made Katsuragi look towards Hashimoto with questioning eyes. He didn't question him about it though. Which was surprising, but the better move honestly.
"Come now, Ayanokouji-kun. I've gotta shoot my shot while I can, right? Shiina-san isn't bad-looking by any means." Hashimoto winked at me. After seeing this interaction, all Kamuro did was look at Hashimoto like he was the scum of the earth, followed by her making exaggerated gagging sounds.
"That poor girl, I almost feel bad for her." Kamuro said. "At least knowing this, we can monitor her even more closely. If she's really spying on us, I don't think we should show her mercy. Let's just keep her closely guarded at all times."
"Actually, I was planning on taking her with me tomorrow." I told them.
"Take her with you? Where? You're not on any foraging shifts tomorrow are you, Ayanokouji-kun?" Kamuro asked.
"Hah, not too surprising. If he's into girls like Yamamura-san, him being into Shiina-san isn't too far-fetched either. You really do like them quiet, Ayanokouji-kun." Hashimoto said, referring to when he asked me what girl my type was back in May. He's still going on about that?
"You're referring to camp visitations right? One of our foraging groups did get an invite from Ichinose-san today after all." Katsuragi said.
"Right. But I'm also planning on visiting class C and D. I can roughly guess where class C's camp is based on where Tokitou and his group went after we ran into them at the watchtower. As for class D, surely Ichinose has seen them. I'll be sure to ask her." I told them.
"And why would you take Shiina-san with you for that?" Kamuro asked.
"If they all really are spies, Shiina might try to get in touch with Kaneda and Ibuki to trade info. If we can overhear them, we might learn class B and class D's leaders through them." I told them.
While it's technically true we could get the names of their leaders, I wasn't holding my breath. The truth is I just didn't want her to be at camp again without me. Having Hashimoto be alone with her even for a little while isn't a good idea. I wouldn't be too surprised if he somehow already made contact with Ryuuen.
"Alright, I'll let you take Shiina-san with you. Although I'd recommend you take one extra person with you, Ayanokouji-kun. I'm not doubting your ability to watch over Shiina-san, but if you want to talk to people when you're visiting other classes, it might be hard to do so while keeping an eye out for her. Just let me know who you're taking with you tomorrow before you leave." Katsuragi said, closing his notepad afterwards which signaled the end of our meeting, as well as our second day on the island.
