Kittu's hands trembled as she stood before Taehyung. His eyes were sharp, filled with anger that had been burning ever since the wedding collapse. The weight of lies, of years, of guilt pressed on her chest until she could no longer breathe.
"I'm sorry, Taehyung," she whispered, her voice shaking. "But you need to know the truth."
His brow furrowed. "Truth? Haven't you done enough with your lies?"
Kittu's eyes welled with tears. "No... not lies this time. My sin, my shame — I carried it all these years. And Y/N... she carried the punishment for me."
The Confession
She lowered her head, speaking fast, desperate.
"When I ran, when I left my son, I thought I could erase him. But when I came back to your house... I realized something. He isn't mine anymore. He belongs to Y/N. She raised him, loved him, taught him everything. He respects me — yes — but only because she taught him to. To him, I am just his godmother."
Her voice cracked. "I told him once... I was the angel who gave him to her. But Y/N? She is his world. His mother. His everything."
Taehyung's breath hitched, his fury faltering.
Kittu's tears spilled. "I was the villain in Khwaab's story. She never made me one — I did it myself. But Khwaab still smiles at me. Still calls me his angel. And that hurts more than his rejection ever could."
The Fear
She took a step closer, her voice trembling.
"When I went to Canada again, I thought maybe... maybe he would still be mine. But he looked at me with polite eyes, not love. Because she had given him everything I refused to. He only loves her."
Her sobs broke through. "Taehyung, when I returned to Korea, I wanted to confess this to you. But I was terrified. More terrified than I've ever been. Because if you knew... you would hate me too. And Y/N... she didn't want that."
He froze. "What do you mean?"
"She endured everything," Kittu whispered, her voice breaking. "The torture, the blame, the hatred — all of it. Because she wanted you to love me. Not her. She knew if you saw the truth, you'd hate me. And she couldn't bear that. She chose to stay silent and suffer."
The Innocence
Kittu collapsed into a chair, her body shaking.
"You wonder why Khwaab wants to meet his mother now? Because he is sick. And when a child is sick, he doesn't call for an angel. He calls for his mama. His real mama. And that's Y/N. Not me."
Her eyes lifted to his, raw and pleading.
"She is innocent, Taehyung. Always was. And I... I was the coward who let her burn for my sins."
The room was silent, the truth hanging heavy like smoke. Taehyung's world tilted — the rage he'd carried for Y/N clashing with the revelation of who had truly been the villain.
And for the first time, he wondered if he had destroyed the wrong woman.
