The hospital room was suffocating in its stillness, the quiet broken only by the beeping of machines that seemed too loud for Y/N's fragile state. When she slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the figure of Teahyung, standing by her bedside. Her heart began to race, and her body reacted instinctively—shivers wracking her frame as the terror she felt in his presence surged through her.
Teahyung, as if sensing her fear, looked at her with cold indifference. His lips curled into a twisted smile, one that sent a chill through the room. Before Y/N could even process what was happening, he slapped her across the face with an abrupt motion.
The pain, though muted by the haze of unconsciousness, jolted through her, and her body instinctively flinched. He slapped her again, this time with more force, his hand leaving a stinging imprint on her bruised skin.
"You're awake," Teahyung murmured, his voice far too calm for the situation. "Good. Now, listen carefully."
Y/N's eyes were wide with fear, her breathing shallow as the room seemed to close in around her. The machines, the sterile hospital smell, the sounds of distant voices—everything felt distant and surreal as she struggled to comprehend the nightmare she had found herself trapped in.
Teahyung leaned closer, his face looming over hers. The coldness in his eyes was suffocating, his grip on reality slipping further. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him.
"Don't think for a second that this changes anything," he hissed, his voice dripping with venom. "You’re still mine, and no one is coming to save you."
The words stung more than the physical blows. It wasn’t just the pain of his slaps—it was the cruelty in his words, the coldness in his demeanor. He wasn’t just hurting her body; he was shattering her spirit.
Y/N fought the urge to cry, to show any weakness. Her body was weak, but her mind—her heart—refused to succumb to his terror. He would never break her completely.
But she didn’t know how much longer she could survive this fight. Not with him here. Not with him standing over her like a shadow, threatening to engulf her.
She closed her eyes for a moment, gathering the strength she needed to survive the nightmare unfolding around her. Teahyung’s presence loomed like a dark cloud, but she refused to let it swallow her whole. She had to find a way out.
And deep down, she knew she wasn't truly alone. Not as long as the memory of those who cared for her—those who had been there, even in the darkest moments—still burned in her heart.
The door to the hospital room opened quietly, and Kittu stepped inside, her steps faltering as she saw Y/N lying in the bed. Her heart dropped at the sight of the slap mark still fresh on Y/N’s face, even though she was covered in bandages. The sight of the violence Y/N had endured hit Kittu harder than she had anticipated. She had been so hopeful that Y/N was going to be okay, but now, seeing her like this, it made her question everything she had believed.
Kittu rushed to her side, her voice trembling with guilt. “Y/N… come with me. You don’t need to stay here. We can leave together. I promise, we’ll be fine.”
Y/N’s eyes fluttered open for a moment, her gaze meeting Kittu’s. There was a flicker of something—anger, frustration, pain—but most of all, there was a resignation in her tone as she spoke.
“Shut up, Kittu,” Y/N said, her voice hoarse but firm. “I’m okay. Just leave it.”
Kittu’s heart clenched, but she pressed on. “He’s going to be fine. I promise. You just have to trust me. We can get out of here and leave him behind.”
But Y/N shook her head slowly, her eyes sharp despite the exhaustion that seemed to weigh her down. “Shut up, Kittu,” she repeated, this time with more intensity. “Teahyung is here, and the walls have ears. Don’t talk about this. I don’t want him to know about you. Please, just… stop.”
