Chapter 13
~Annabel's POV~
The first month of our engagement we kept it a secret. James wanted to tell the guys but he wanted to make an event out of it. He decided all five (six including baby Kendall) to go out to dinner next week.
My life was as busy as ever. James and I were engaged and had a baby on our way. We decided to have the wedding after Baby Kendall was born. I was excited yet scared.
The invitations were to go out right after we told Kendall, Logan, Carlos about our engagement.
Before I knew it the night of the dinner was here, I was just about 8 months pregnant. James and I got dressed and I made sure I had the ring he gave me.
We left out apartment holding hands. As we walked through the lobby I noticed everyone's eyes on me. I shook the uncomfortable feeling. James , knowing me as well as he did, says "don't worry baby, you're a beautiful girl and we're a perfect couple."
I smiled at him and gave him a small kiss on his cheek.
We arrived at the restaurant and met Logan, Carlos, and Kendall at the restaurant. We sat down at a table. We had a room all to ourselves since James, Logan, Kendall and Carlos were kind of like celebrities.
We ordered and began to ate. After a while James stood up.
"I have an announcement." He said and smiled at me.
I stood up and walked towards him. He put his arm around me as I put one hand on my stomach.
We waited a minute, for dramatic effect.
Finally I said. "James and I are getting married!"
Kendall, Logan, Carlos looked shocked. Logan stood up "Congratulations guys! Can't wait to meet little Kendall and go to the wedding!"
We sat down and continued our meal and had a great time.
I stood up and everyone's eyes fell on me. "I want to say something." I began.
"I've only been in LA for almost a year but you guys are like my family. I know when little Kendall comes into the world he has a family ready to welcome him"
Kendall stood up. "We love you Annabel. Not as much as James loves you but you aren't LIKE family. You ARE family!"
Chapter 14
~James's POV~
We continued the rest of the night with no more surprises. When we went home I saw Annabel in what would be our baby's bedroom. She had a weird expression on her face. I came from behind her and put my he's on her shoulder, wrapping my arms around her.
"What's wrong honey?" I asked.
"What if we aren't ready to be parents?" Annabel replied putting her hand on the stomach.
"We're ready. You'll be a great mom and I'll be a great dad. I promise." I replied.
"How do you know? What if we mess up?" She said turning around
I locked eyes with her. "Kendall will be fine. I promise. We'll through whatever life throws at us."
She smiled and our lips meant. "Thank you James. I love you." She said.
I replied "I love you too"
Then we went to bed because we were both exhausted.
Life was pretty normal. Annabel was due any day now. One night I had an amazing dream:
It was my wedding day. I was at the altar in a suit. I saw a beautiful young girl walking towards me in a long white gown. It was Annabel. In front of her was a little boy who had Annabel's hair and my eyes. Next to me were my best friends. Annabel walked up to me and we recited out vows to each other. We both said I dos. Just as our lips were about to meet, I was shaken awake.
"James!" Annabel whispered.
"What?" I said worriedly yet sleepily.
This sentence woke me up: "my water just broke..."
