Chapter 11
~Annabel's POV~
Soon enough I was about 3 months along. My stomach area was getting bigger. It was time to go to the doctor and get the gender of the baby. We decide to take Kendall with us since he was the one picking the middle name.
"Nervous?" Kendall said.
"Always." I began "I have a whole other life I'm responsible for. What if something ends up wrong with little Kaylee/Kendall?"
"You'll be fine. Whatever happens she/he will have an amazing mother and father. And even better uncle." He joked.
I lightly punched him in the arm. "Funny" I said.
"So Kendall." James began. "Think of a middle name yet?"
"Yeah I did... You ready?"
James and I both said "yeah" in unison.
"Spider-Man!" He joked again.
"How about no?" I said. "My daughter's/son's middle name will not be Spider-Man!" I said.
"I'm joking! I don't know yet! I still have 8 months!"
"6" James corrected him "Annabel's 3 months along and she'll only be pregnant for 9 months in total."
Finally we reached the doctor's office. We waited in the waiting room. I kept tapping my fingers. James put his arm around me. "Calm down, why do you get so nervous? She/he will be fine and if something goes wrong we will handle it. I promise." He finished by placing a small kiss on my cheek.
"Thanks babe. I love you" I said.
"I love you too" he replied.
Kendall just sat there awkwardly then coughed saying "I'm still here you know."
We all giggled quietly. Then my name was called. We piled into the room quietly.
"Good morning! How's it going?" Dr. Patterson said
"My back is starting to hurt a little" I said.
"Ahh that is because the baby is growing so it's more stress on your back." He said.
We all nodded in understanding.
"So lets begin the ultrasound." He said pulling out all the necessary tools.
"This'll be the first picture you'll ever see of this little baby."
We waited anxiously. I felt the cool gel on my stomach as a picture showed up on the screen.
"There's it is! You're baby!" He said
"What's the gender?" James asked anxiously.
Chapter 12
~Kendall's POV~
"It's a boy. Do you have a named picked out yet?" Dr. Patterson asked.
James looked over at me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Yes, Kendall ____ Maslow." James said with a smile.
I smiled back speechless that there child was really going to be named after me.
It was in that moment I realized what I wanted name to be. I wasn't 100% sure so I decided not to tell James and Annabel yet. I needed to think it through. This was something serious.
Baby Kendall Schmidt Maslow. I liked the sound of that!
~Annabel's POV~
Knowing our baby was going to be a boy James and I began shopping for baby Kendall. We bought him everything in a baby blue color. James had already bought a crib, stroller, high chair, and changing table. We began to put everything in the extra room James had in his apartment.
When I was around 6 months pregnant, James told me he had a surprise for me. He took me to a park. He walked with me until we found a empty grass area. He blindfolded me and had me walk a little further. After about 10 more steps he stopped me.
"Don't move." James said
"Can I take the blindfold off?" I asked
"Wait until I say so" James replied I waited about 30 seconds then I heard James says "okay take the blindfold off.
I took the blind fold off. I looked and found rose petals in the shape if the words 'Annabel, Will you marry me?'
I was shocked. Next to the petals was James waiting on his knee with a ring in his hand. I walked over to him and he said "so baby will you marry me?"
"Of course!" I replied.
He stood and gave me the most passionate kiss I'd ever received.
