Chapter 23 & 24

Chapter 23

~Dr. Patterson's POV~ 

I took the baby from Annabel. I immediately brought into the ER. Annabel and James were right behind me. I took his temperature. It was now 106.  

"Uh oh." I said 

"What?!" Annabel and James said petrified.  

"He has an abnormally high fever." 

Annabel began to cry.  

"Don't cry just yet. It could be anything." 

I checked inside his mouth, down his throat, and finally his ears. When I touched his ears he cried harder. I looked over my should at the worried parents behind me. 

After a few moments of silence I said "Kendall will be fine. He has an ear infection. Ear infections can sometimes cause high fevers" 

"So what now?" James asked relieved his little boy was okay.  

"I'll write you a prescription for ear drops. By the time you drive to the pharmacy it'll be ready." 

"How do we get him to stop crying?" Annabel asked.  

"I'll handle it." I said picking him up and leaving the room.  

.I came back in 10 minutes with a silent baby in my hands.  

"Thank you!" James said with a smile.  

"Bring him back in a week." I called as they walked out.  

~James POV~ 

By the time we reached the pharmacy and then home. Kendall was fast asleep in his car seat. Annabel scooped Kendall up and brought him in the house. We placed him in his crib and gave him his ear drops.  

Once Kendall was all taken care of Annabel and I both plopped on the couch.  

"Tired?" I asked, already knowing the answer.  

"Little bit." I said.  

"It's been a while since we had time alone... What do you want to do." I said with a tiny smirk.  

"Hmmm I don't know. What do you have in mind?" 

"This." I barely made out before our lips met.  

Before we knew it out kiss became more and more passionate.  

I began to pull at her shirt. "Not here." She said breathlessly.  

I picked her up bridal style and put her on my bed.  

"Better" she said before pulling me on top of her.  

We began to kiss. Most of our clothes were on the floor. I was in the process of removing my pants when Annabel asked "are you sure about this?"  

"Positive. Kendall is perfect. I want another one." 

She smiled as our lips met again for the third time tonight.  

When we finished our deed I heard Annabel say "I want a little girl this time."  

She barely finished the sentence before falling asleep.

Chapter 24

~Annabel's POV~ 

The next morning we woke up. It was 8AM. We decided to take Kendall to Disneyland this afternoon. James had a meeting with the rest if the guys today. He decided to bring the baby and I. Our little boy was feeling a lot better. He was back to his happy little self.  

I got Kendall dressed. "You want to go see daddy and your uncles?" I said.  

He laughed and clapped his hands.  

Just then James walked in. "That looks like a yes to me!" He said.  

He came to me and gave me a small kiss. "I love you" he told me.  

"And you" he said picking up Kendall and tossing him in the air.  

Once again Kendall giggled.  

I dressed Kendall in a purple tank top type thing and denim shorts. I put his socks and shoes on. It would be any day now he took his first step or said his first words.  

James picked him up. "Wow does mommy know how to dress you!" James gave Kendall a little kiss on the cheek.  

"Aw I need to take a picture!" I said running to where my camera was 

I grabbed it and ran back. "Daddy and son! So adorable!!" I said taking the picture.  

"Your turn." James said handing Kendall to me. 

I gave him the camera.  

"Mommy and her little boy!" James said.  

We left and went to the studio to meet the guys for a 'Big Time Meeting' as they called it.  

When we arrived Logan, Carlos, and Kendall greeted Kendall and told us how big he was getting.  

"Hey we aren't here to distract you! They're will be plenty of time to play with him..."  

We looked at him confused.  

"Oh sweetie, I forgot to ask you. Can our little guy's uncles come along to Disneyland today?" He asked.  

All the guys pulled their best puppy dog faces. I thought about it for a minute. "Yes. They can." 

They all jumped and celebrated.  

"But not if you don't start and finish this meeting!" 

They all ran into the meeting room. I stayed in the lobby and played with Kendall.  

"Are you excited to spend the day with Uncle Kendall, Carlos, and Logan?"  

He laughed.  

Finally the meeting ended. All the guys walked out before James. When baby Kendall saw James. He did the most amazing thing. All our eyes widened.
