sotc: illusion by one direction

I woke to the sound of my alarm and sunlight in my eyes. Rubbing my eyes, I recalled the events from last night and I sighed. He was so damn protective. Rubbing my eyes, I rolled out of bed and put on my slippers, heading out of my room.

Almost walking down the stairs, I heard a light banging coming from Luke's room. Tiptoeing to his door, I opened it and saw Luke banding his head on the wall behind his bed. I was being quiet and he didn't even notice me. I sat on the bed and he jumped, throwing a hand over his bare chest.

"God, you scared me." I giggled and slapped his thigh. He frowned and looked down.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I feel bad for last night." He sighed and rubbed his face with his hands. "I close you off from your own life-"

"Luke, it was Calum. It truly doesn't bother me that much after realizing that you were just looking out for me."

"How long has it been since you have been with your friends?" I remember hanging out with Brindlee after school, but that was a week and a half ago. "You have been with me instead of having fun."

"I have fun with you."

"I have fun with you, too. Don't you want to hang out with your friends, though?"

"Not really." I laughed. "They're so different than me and they don't care about anything except what people think of them."

"Even that tall blonde from that one night?" I cringed at his description of Brindlee, making her sound perfect and my total opposite.

"I don't know, she would rather party with her lacrosse friends than be with me. I guess I can ask her if she wants to hang out today, if that would please you." I shrugged and he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips. "What?"

"You deserve so much more." I blushed. "I can't wait until you move out, then I can take you everywhere and then you can be friends with people like yourself." He thought about being with me that far ahead?

"Okay." I nodded with a shy smile, agreeing with his idea. He smiled and emgulfed me into a hug by surprise. Pulling away, I remembered that I had school. I looked at the clock beside his bed, reading 6:12 AM. Fourty-five minutes until I leave, I can work with that if I run. "Crap." I whispered and ran out of his room without an explanation.

"See ya!" He shouted out his door, hearing the smirk in his voice. I ran to the kitchen and threw some granola and yogurt into a bowl, kind of making a mess but creating a note in my head to clean up when I got home. Running up the stairs with my breakfast, almost tripping, I flew into my bathroom and started my makeup.

Quickly spooning some strawberry yogurt into my mouth, I completely missed my mouth and spilled half of the spoon onto my pajama pants.

"Really?!" I screeched and took off my pants as fast as possible, trying not to waste time. God, I'm so clumsy. I set down my bowl and grabbed my mascara, applying it delicately and huffing in relief when I finally finished. I looked at the time again and realized that I had fifteen minutes to spare until I had to leave.

I walked out of the bathroom, putting my uniform on and smiling in the mirror. I don't know why people minded uniforms so much; our school uniform was a typical skirt down to the knees and socks to cover out calves. A sweater was to cover our torso and comfortable, shiny black flats that squeaked when you stepped covered out feet. Our hair wasn't to be dyed; which wasn't a problem for me. Our school was nice, though; we were never swamped with homework and the teachers were nice enough. It was the kids that were troubling.

Grabbing my backpack, I headed downstairs.

"Need a ride?" I turned and saw Luke all dressed and eating Lucky Charms. He was in all black and I swore that if I didn't know him, I would've thought that he was 21. I cleared my throat and nodded.

"Yeah, sure. That would be nice." I smiled and he got up from his seat, grabbing his keys and holding the door open for me. Noticing that he took the keys for the Hummer, I laughed. He was showing off for the boys at my school, telling them to back off of me.

We walked out to the garage and I walked out to the one Luke was headed to. He opened the door for me, letting me hop in and then closed the door behind me.

Hopping in himself, he turned on the car and I already had my ears plugged because of the music last time. To my surprise and Luke's entertainment, no music turned on. We both started laughing and Luke shook his head, pulling out from the garage and into the direction of my school.

Half-way into the drive, whhich was a ways away, Luke asked me a question.

"How far have you gone with Brad?"

"I-uh, we only, um, kissed a couple times and like, cuddled." Luke nodded observantly.

"Why are you so uncomfortable talking about sex?" My eyes widened and I shifted in my seat. "See." He pointed out and I laughed.

"Um, I don't know. I was always told that it was something you do when you want a baby and I don't want a baby." Luke laughed and shook his head.

"No, baby girl, you've got it all wrong. Sex is about.. sharing a level of intimacy with someone for personal pleasure. I learned the hard way that it is something special and that you shouldn't just throw your pureness to waste." I was listening so quietly; this was the first time he really opened up to me and I wanted him to keep going. "I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I don't want you to lose your virginity to me." I was shocked and confused. Isn't that what he wanted; to make sure that he was the one that did it right?

"O-okay." I sighed and looked out of the window. Was I really that bad? "Wait, why?"

"Who wants their first time with an old man?"

"You're not old at all and it's just sex."

"Okay, fine, I'm not old, but sex isn't just sex until you're ready-"

"I am ready. Maybe not right now, but I'm not afraid of sex. I think that if I'm okay with it, then you should be okay, too." He sighed.

"Fine. Remember that I am not ready to do it anytime soon."

"Yeah, me neither." I laughed and noticed my school was down the street. Unbuckling my seatbelt, I already saw the stares as we pulled up. I mean, how could you miss a big black Hummer with a hot guy in the driver's seat?

Everybody knew my existance but never bothered to talk to me; they just wanted me for my money when they did.

Stopping in the front of my school, I was about to get out when Luke's hand grabbed my forearm gently and pulled me close for a kiss but I turned away.

"Hannah, what the hell?"

"What if someone sees us?! Everyone that is outside is watching us!"

"So? They don't know me." He laughed and pulled me in again and I kissed him back, short and sweet. Hugging him after, he rubbed circles in my back and scratched my back lightly with his nails.

"You should probably go to school now." Luke breathed.

"Oh yeah." I pulled away and kissed his cheek, his beard tickling my lips. "See you later." I smiled and opened my car door to get out and felt nervous as everyone's eyes were bouncing with excitement at my arrival. Shutting the door behind me, I continued walking go my school. The car didn't move, though; I guessed he just wanted to ensure that I got in safely.

"Hannah, I didn't know you had a hot boyfriend!" I heard a girl speak as I walked. "Can we share him?" I cringed and shook my head, making my way towards the door.

"Damn, Hannah, could you kiss me like that?!" A boy that I have never seen before shouted at me. "I bet those lips could work wonders on my di-"

"Shut the hell up, you pig!" I heard a loud, female voice shout back and I looked up to find the one and only Brindlee. I smiled and she nudged me with her elbow, smiling back. "Don't talk to a lady like that." Brindlee pulled me along and I almost tripped on my feet as we walked into school.
