Chapter 14: Grand Ball (aka best chapter ever! ;D)

Mal was walking around the ball room searching for Ben, who was most likely talking to distant, distant, distant relatives.

The new ballroom was actually like a green house in the castle, the top of the ceiling completely glass with stained glass roses littering the top. Floating, about 8 feet away from the ceiling, was a platinum chandelier, already glowing with flames from candles. All of the walls were made of silvery stone, but the windows were priceless stained glass with many fairytale references. Ones were made for Aladdin & Jasmine, Cinderella & Prince Charming, Rapunzel & Eugene, Ariel & Eric, and of course, Belle & Beast.

The floors of course, were more decorated than the ceilings or the walls and windows. The tiles on the floors each had a different symbol for each fairytale... But different from the windows stories, these tiles were magic. Every single story had one or two, or even more, tiles on the ground. Some unexplained, others completely understood.

After searching for minutes, Mal finally found Ben talking to his grandfather, the inventor. Ben waves his grandfather goodbye as he walks towards Mal.

"Greeting problems?" Mal laughs.

"Many... Seen any of the Wonderland kids? I haven't seen you this tense since you tried to steal-" Ben says before Mal cuts him off putting a hand up.

"Don't say it..." She warns pointing at him.

"Right sorry... But at least this time you are finally relieved... That the Wonderland kids aren't here... Wait never mind." He laughs to himself.

"This is for us and them! Don't you get it? They are lunatics!" Mal huffs. "Speaking of lunatics... Have you seen Carlos or Jay anywhere?"

"No I haven't... I haven't seen Lonnie here either... It's about 15 minutes after they were suppose to be here. I am sure they will arrive soon..." Ben assures her.

Mal sees Aubrey in the corner of her eye sulking in a chair all by herself, obviously waiting for Jay to show up and sweep her off her feet. But Evie comes walking over ignoring Aubrey almost completely.

"Hey. Where are the Wonderland kids?" Evie asks excitedly.

"I don't know... I'm sure they'll be here soon... Hey I love your dress. Now I know why you wouldn't show it to me after you made it! It's amazing!" Mal says faking a smile, while trying to change the subject.

Ben nods at Evie and then is pulled away by his mother.

Evie twirled a bit showing off the bejeweling she had done to her dress, covering almost all of it. Then Evie pauses.

"What are you hiding?" She asks skeptically. She knew Mal wouldn't give her a compliment like that unless she wanted to change the subject. In this case, hiding something.

"Nothing!" Mal exclaims.

Evie narrows her eyes, then decided to go try and find the Wonderland children at the ball. Mal sighs with relief that she hadn't asked anymore questions.

"Looking slick..." Jay says to Will walking out of the boy's bathrooms. The boys had already quickly changed into their suits, but had a bit trouble gelling Aaron's hair down, thanks to all his frizzy blonde. But non the less, they had gotten out of the bathrooms looking like true gentlemen.

Will had put on a brown suit with a white tie and white shoes that Morgan had given him. She either was really lucky in guessing sizes, or Evie had handmade the suits and gave them to Morgan.

Aaron wore a white suit with a blue handkerchief and black shoes. His hair was almost completely slick back, with of course using the entire can of gel. Aaron kept poking his hair trying to get it to stick back up, but it was as rubbery as a tire by now. Rubbery, but handsome.

"Jay's right... You guys actually look... Good." Carlos and Jay give each other knuckles and some kind of weird handshake.

But just as the boys finish their handshake, the girls walk out of the bathroom. Lonnie walks out first with a hairbrush in her hand holding it like a microphone.

"Gentlemen and Gentlemen! May I introduce, the fairest Cats and Hatters in Wonderland! And now making an appearance at Auradon's Grand Ball!" Lonnie gestures her hand towards the door. "Introducing... Morgan Hatter!"

The first thing out of the door was a brilliant light green fabric and a white high heel. Morgan steps out completely, without a hat and all. He hair was tied up in a messy, but cute bun and her light green eyes seemed to blend perfectly with the colors of her dress. She wore a light green bracelet with a pink bejeweled bow on top, of course Morgan couldn't go without at least one thing with a bow on it.

"You look amazing..." Carlos says slightly awestruck. He takes her hand and in the corner of Morgan's eye, she could see Aaron step back a bit, which made her smile fade quickly.

"And now... Claire Cat!" Lonnie moves away from the door and out comes Claire rather quickly. But her look couldn't be missed for a second.

Claire wore a dark purple dress with diamonds on the top and a bit of a ruffle on the bottom of the dress. Barely seen under the dress were high heels that looked like they were from the Isle, but Evie actually found them and made a few adjustments for the perfect 'Wonderland shoes.'

If someone didn't know Claire had her ears pierced, they sure would now... She wore glittery, diamond earrings shaped as cat heads. Her hair was down, and flat ironed, but there was a braid in the back that made all the difference. Claire was absolutely, breathtaking.

To prove that, all the boys had their mouths gaping open. This was a huge leap from complete tomboy Chesh, to beautiful 'princess' Claire.

"Will you just shut up... Let's go... I want to get this over with QUICKLY!" Claire says crossing her arms.
