Chapter two

I put brads food in front of him and went to the counter to help josh.

"Here. Keep the change" he set down a hundred. His bill was only thirty five something.

"Josh, I can't keep the change its a seventy dollar difference" he rolled his eyes.

"I don't care. Just next time I'm here, its half off" I shrugged.

"Thanks" he smiled.

I smiled back, sorta.
He waved and walked out.

"The hell was that about" Brad said.

"I don't know he's been acting weird. Nicer. Like the fuck" I shrugged and put the money in the cash register.

"He likes you" brad wiggled his eyebrows.

"Sucks to suck. He's done every girl in school but me and Kalleen. I'd rather not get STDs. So nahhhhh" I went to Gina and Nina.

"Hey, kiddos. My shift is almost done. One more hour then we can leave" they nodded tiredly.

I gathered their homework and put it in their book bags.

"The thing about josh is, he thinks just because he is alphas son. He is cocky and arrogant, he can prove me wrong if he wants. But until I see different, that's what I've gathered this far." I shrugged.

"He can be a handful, but trust me, you'll find out soon just how nice he is." Brad said wiping his mouth with a napkin and getting up.

"Here's a 20 keep it. Here's another 20 for my food. Thank you" I nodded and put a twenty in my pocket. And then walked to the register and put the other one in there.

I got the dishes and put then in the back.
"You need help Jimmy" he shook his head.

"Those girls need some sleep. Take them home. I'll see you Thursday" I nodded.

I took off my apron and hat and put them behind the counter.
I let down my hair.

"Come on girls" they were almost asleep.

They both rose their arms.

"Put on your bookbags" I helped them.

I picked Nina up then Gina.
I walked out of the diner and toward my truck.

"Lay down both of you" they crawled into a comfy position.

I took my keys out of my pocket and started to drive home.

There were two cars parked in the driveway. I pulled up to the curb and grabbed all of my stuff.

"Girls come on" they woke up and wiggled out. Even when Nina was half asleep she jumped out. I helped Gina down.

I walked to the door and opened it.
"She is obviously lying." I heard my father say.

"Girls go upstairs I'll be up in a minute." I dug the twenty out of my pocket and put it in my dads hand.

"My work tips" alpha was standing there giving me a weird look.

I shook my head and headed for the stairs.
"Mack, we need you down here" alpha said.

"No disrespect but I'm the only one who cares about those girls. Priority's first, give me ten minutes" I went up the stairs and into their room.

"Pajamas" I grabbed each of them a baggy long shirt.

I shut the door and turned up the light volume.
I helped them strip into just their undies and then put the shirt on them.

"Let's take your hair down." I grabbed the bobby pin and undid their hair.
