I clocked out and took off my hat and apron.
"Bye jimmy" I grabbed my tips and left.
In all, my tips were fifty dollars and fifty two cents. Guess the people like the scene.
I got into my truck and started driving to Kalleens.
I turned on the radio, then turned it back off because there is no music on, that's good.
I pulled into kalleens drive way. I got out of my truck and went inside.
"Girls!" I yelled. Nina and Gina ran down the stairs and gave me a hug.
"Hey Mackie" Gina said pulling away from the hug.
"Hey ginie" I poked her stomach.
"Go get your book bags" they mean off, kalleen came out of the kitchen.
"You're good with them." She smiled.
"I have to be. My parents weren't exactly the best on the plantet" she gave me a sad look.
"I'm sorry Mack" I shrugged.
"Its cool. I have court in two weeks. I'll be okay" I gave her a hug when the girls came back.
"Thank you" she smiled.
"Anytime Mack. Bye girlys" we left and went back home.

"Bed time." They raced upstairs.
I followed them up and into their room.
"You can sleep in tommorow. You don't have school." They cheered. Once I got them in their jammies I tucked them in.
"Goodnight girls" I turned off their light and turned on their nightlight. Then went into my room.
My phone buzzed in my pocket.
I opened the text.
Unknown- Hey
Me- Hi?
I set the phone down and took off my shirt and shorts. I threw on sweats and a half shirt.
Unknown- its josh.
Me- of course it is. How'd you get my number
Josh- I have my ways.
Me- I'm tired I wanna sleep. Let me sleep. Goodnight
Jish- finnnne. Night.
I turned off my phone and plugged it in the charger.
I pulled the cover up on me and closed my eyes.

"Mackenzie" I opened my eyes and Gina and Nina were shaking me awake.
It was still dark out.
"What's wrong" they were crying.
"Daddy is in the house" once they said that I grabbed my phone.
I dialed josh's number.
"Josh, my dad is in the house. Come here now" I said once he answered.
I got up and walked to my closet.
"Girls, go now" they walked into my closet and sat in the corner.
"Stay calm and in your room. I'll be there soon. Stay on the line" I heard footsteps coming closer to my door.
"Mackenzie!" My dad burst through the door.
