I looked at the woman, Lucille, with a shocked expression after she had introduced herself. The crowd of soldiers dropped their weapons to the ground and knelt on the ground, looking up to her. Astra knelt down and dragged me down with her to kneel as I was still shocked. Lucille smiled at us and said "Children of prophecy, stand up". I stood up slowly with Astra, but Lucille kept smiling and turned to the crowd before she called up names "The nymph, Tabitha, the twins, Spot and Raphael, and Lynx, a guardian of the Great Library, stand up". The called names stood up from where they were and looked up to Lucille. "All of you have been brave and stood with each other even though you had just met one another. You have thought lessons with value to each other during your journey and therefore I thank you, all six of you children, for stopping this war".

Lucille walked towards grandfather and her expression changed from gentle to a stern. She pointed a finger at grandfather's forehead "You have caused war between Alastar and Euryele out of your greed and therefore you must be punished". A small light glowed from the tip of her finger and created a magic seal. "No!" I exclaimed gaining her attention. "As I have said before, even though he has done horrible things, he is still family". Lucille's gentle smile returned, but she didn't remove the seal. "You are right; however I am not punishing him with death. His ancestors will decide his fate" she said before grandfather disappeared in a flash of light as he pleaded. I stood there with no words to say "You have a good heart" Lucille said before turning to the crowd. I shook my head from the shock I had. "This 'light' I have bestowed many years ago to the first guardian has caused a great deal of damage. I have seen far too many guardians and people filled with greed try to harness the power and use it against others" Lucille started "For that, I shall take back the 'light' and no one will be able to harness the power". She lifted her arms up and the 'light' glowed as it floated over her hands before it shattered in to pieces. The 'light' was no more and substitute core's power disappeared. "I trust that you will rule Alastar as a great king like your father would have been" Lucille said before looking at Astra "And I trust that you will continue to protect the creatures of the forest". With that Lucille disappeared in a glow of light. The war was over.

The soldiers of Alastar stood up one by one and shouted "Long lives the new king of Alastar! King Basil!" All of the soldiers from both Euryele and Alastar rejoiced and the night became a feast for both kingdoms as a sign of peace. Alastar soldiers talked with the Eurylanians as if they had been friends for a long time and also apologized from time to time. The king of Euryele greeted the Alastar soldiers with open arms, forgiving them for their actions. The night lasted long before the Alastarian soldiers made their way back to Alastar when morning came. I stayed behind in Euryele for a few days with Astra and the others for a day before we each returned to our homes. This was a beginning for a new day filled with light.

Ten years have passed since the war and since I became the new king of Alastar. After I became king, I had helped rebuild the destruction that the war had caused in Euryele. The kingdoms have been at peace with each other and often visited each other's kingdom. Every one of us has been busy since the war had ended. We had all changed slightly in our own ways.

The twins, Raphael and Spot, became messengers between me and Astra to one another and also travelled around the continent to find ancient artefacts or new undiscovered places. Lynx occasionally visits the kingdoms and has been announced as the successor of Eloise as the head of the Great Library. The Mystical forest is as peaceful as ever since Astra and Tabitha returned, and the behemoths have often left the forest to visit the kingdoms. This was how we became what we are now and how peace came between the two kingdoms.
